Ultimate New Zealand moment 🇳🇿✨

Not only did we see kiwis in the wild and learn about the unique Stewart Island subspecies — we actually got to interact with one.

After spotting him, we stepped back and turned the lights off… only to lose sight of him completely. A few minutes later he quietly snuck up behind me, tapped my ankle, and started sniffing around before waddling off to investigate everyone else. He kept coming back for Dave's feet!

Meet “Footsniffer” — a curious 3-year-old kiwi with a hilarious fascination for people’s shoes. Such a quirky, unforgettable encounter and a reminder of how special these birds really are.

Thank you for the amazing guide @beaksandfeathersnz

More kiwi stories coming soon 🥝

My childhood coming to life at Ghibli Park 🌱

What a lovely ode to Hayao Miyazaki's work with the films that have given me comfort and joy while tackling world issues.

My inner child found Howl's sky-wide joy and Nausicaä's wind-kissed hope - a must visit for any Ghibli fans 🕊✨️

Our last month in Wanaka before moving to the coast 💜
Forever grateful for the lovely coworkers and families I met, the privilege I got to care for some of the gorgeous lil bubbas and wishing them all the best!

Luckily the weekends were sunny and let us explore:
📍Diamond Lake and Rocky Mountain Track
📍Lake Hāwea River Track
📍Rob Roy Glacier Track
📍Lake Dunstan Trail

Incredibly thankful for the experiences, knowledge, friendships, and opportunities this schooling has given me! When @prismsas was in daycare I always wanted to help out - fast forward ~22 years and now I am a qualified ECE teacher and working in a beautiful country with a bunch of lil gems 💜 by @fdtravellers

Winter ghost town ❄️ through the winter wonderland to make it to the ocean 🤍

While the winter population is 800, the summer explodes as cruise ships bring in over a million tourists each year.

The town is rich in Gold Rush history as the start of the Chilkoot Trail - one I've hiked twice
