But I am still thirsty. 🎾

These sneakers have trained me through 5 summers on this tennis court, a marathon and hundreds of pilates classes.

My swing is stronger. Eye focused on the ball. Feet move instinctually with grace from my dancer days. Body is faster; and slower. Aging is its own sport.

Development at the sacrifice of my shoes which are now worn out. Sneakers given to me by my Mother.

With honor and somberness, I’m retiring these Nikes.

The couple met only a few weeks ago, she says he is her birthday gift, as they met near the day. I could feel that “new love” smell on them. So beautiful to be around.
