The new F.E. Castleberry shop at 246 W Broadway in TriBeCa, NY.

After a 113 day buildout in which I designed and built the shop along with a little help from my friends (the electricity and woodwork were left to the professionals). The floor alone required ten days to paint and seal. A worthy endeavor as it’s become the touch of whimsy I most adore (hardwood floor painted with an imperfect black and white diamond repeat).

Slim and me crashing the star studded dinner after the @MetOpera’s opening night of Macbeth. Posed for the paps for posterity.

P.s. Susan Lucci sat across from me at dinner, incredibly lovely woman. Her face, at 79, is her plastic surgeon’s Sistine Chapel. Undeniable masterpiece.

Slim wears an F.E. Castleberry double breasted satin formal jacket over the shoulders. Loving the tonal color palette.

Filming content getting dressed for the Met Opera’s opening night of Macbeth because my social media manager told me to. Hunting pink formal jacket in mohair with satin back collar and mismatched buttons. Forever blurring the line between upper class opulence and downtown irreverence.

P.s. I do not enjoy getting dressed while pretending to give a speech.

Our house pink umbrella is made in collaboration with Lockwood Umbrella of London. Luxurious solid whangee bamboo handle, house pink cotton canopy, black tassel trim, and handmade employing centuries old techniques.

Made by hand in limited quantities. Available in the shop (or by DM). $750.

Whangee bamboo is the distinctive, knotted woody stems of certain Asian grasses from the genus Phyllostachys. The stems feature prominent, alternating nodes and a flattened or grooved linear texture along the cane. Hardy evergreen bamboos native to China, Japan, and the Himalayas—whangee bamboo makes for ideal umbrellas. Artisans steam and bend the material into distinctive hooked or crook handles.

Not just a woven label to inscribe your number on to have your umbrella returned to you if left behind, but a curse on the individual who doesn’t return it.

Fashion Chair of the Kurt Cobain fan club reporting for duty.

Mom flew 3,000 miles to see the F.E. Castleberry shop for the first time. Her father was a tailor who also maintained a street level shop in Taipei (I was also born in Taipei). Now I carry on his legacy. She forgot to mention this to me up until two years ago.

Faux. George McNally’s debut restaurant in TriBeCa. I have to imagine his father Keith is proud. I fuckin’ love this place. It’s three minutes from the shop.

Headed to Abigail Spencer’s birthday party. She said to dress up.

The Burberry trench is undefeated in New York.
