Spotlighting this impact project for Int’l Youth Day 2026: “Beyond Barriers: Empowering Youth Innovation Through Self-Reliance & Hands-On Mastery.”

How I worked with my client to turn a commemorative event into a sustainable impact framework:
📌 Strategy & Vision: Co-designed the core theme with my client, moving it from performative to deeply practical.
📌 Program Design: Drafted beneficiary-centered deliverables, curated panel themes, and directed the publicity strategy.
📌 Execution & Moderation: Anchored the entire event and led panel conversations that challenged participants toward self-reliance.
📌 Sustainability: Put systems in place to track long-term impact and make continuity possible.

For progress to be tangible, we must move past temporary excitement to building frameworks that will stand the test of time.

Years ago, in fact, 3/4 months ago, you’d find me in these places but I’m no longer there

- Where pain and trauma are esteemed above living and life itself
- Where anguish and anxiety are treated as comfort zone
- Where bad experiences and hurt caused by others were the only tales told
- Where the only thing to do after a seeming hard phase is to sulk and waste away in slumber
- Where thinking small was the way out of facing big dreams
- Where rejecting compliments was the best thing to do to avoid the occasion of rising to the compliments gotten
- Where somber colors were more appealing because embracing cheerful colors would mean asking for freedom
- Where divine prophecies were treated like wall posters

Instead, you will find me
- Where pain, trauma, anguish, and anxiety don’t have any hold
- Where bad experiences and hurt caused by others have been exhaled to disappear with the wind
- Where sulking happens but it never lingers
- Where dreaming big and wild is the new normal
- Where compliments are accepted and treated as push for more
- Where life is no longer somber but lived in colors
- Where divine prophecies are receiving tangibility

2 DEGREES AFTER…

Life has moved, the trajectory has changed but I’m proud regardless.

In my first lecture as an undergraduate in uni, I was blown away by what I was hearing that I didn’t know when I muttered out loud “I am right where I’m meant to be.” The person next to me giggled and I said, “Don’t laugh at me, it’s love at first class.” 😅

Undergraduate days went by so fast. I went to serve and a few months into the end of NYSC, my dad rang my phone “Oluwafemi, you should pick up the form for masters, it’s out.”

I said “What?!! Daddy, no please.” But I must confess, I was made for books. Eventually, I agreed. I was on a revenge mission 😅😂 I had health complications as an undergraduate so I didn’t meet the mark I had set for myself. I finished with a 2.1 instead of a first class and I wasn’t happy. One of my friends said “I know you targeted the moon but you fell among the stars, yet you shine so bright. For this I celebrate you.” I rolled my eyes so hard cos what’s my own with moon and star, I just wanted my result to magically turn into a first class.

Well, I didn’t get my first class and it was time to avenge my result. I went all in and finished with a distinction. Not only did I finish with a distinction, I finished with a clear destination in mind. I went further to get another professional certification but somewhere along the line, the vision changed and I decided to begin another journey.

Everyone around me still cannot wrap their heads around me saying I no longer want to practice after getting 2 degrees. But my life is mine and my life is led by God. He has willed that my stewardship change direction in this season. Who am I to question it?

This new road is in fact not new. If you’ve known me long enough, you’d see just how it was my journey all along. I’m the one who’s just discovering it.

May was fast, hectic, but fruitful 💐

Amidst coaching sessions, travel, strategy sessions, impact events, and so much more; I’m grateful I got to breathe and put my skills to solid use.

The highlight for me was working with @faceofhopeofficial and @_queendammy to bring the Menstrual Hygiene Day event to life. I was the Impact Optimization Lead for the event. I also doubled as the moderator for the day 🤭🥰

April! What a month.

It made me cry more than I expected, laugh just as much, and gifted me a pretty significant win in the middle of it all 😅

The major highlight for me, however, was a random encounter at a supermarket bookshelf where I found Formation. I picked it up as if someone was going to steal it from me 😂

I’ve been in a deep season of studying systems, and I decided it was time to dig into the specific system that created Nigeria. I got Formation as a recommendation from my search for a book to read about how Nigeria came to be.

Formation has been a massive eye-opener. Out of all the factors that led to the birth of this country, the one that caught my attention most was the pursuit of social justice by key individuals. It made me realize that Nigeria might not have a foundation to build on today if social justice hadn’t been in the architecture from the very beginning.

The biggest lesson for me is that individuals must see that regardless of their background or current status, they possess influence that can be leveraged for collective good. If the people who saw the potential of this land decided to do nothing with their influence, we wouldn’t be the “Giant” we are today.

I’m curious, what are your thoughts on social justice? Do you think it’s possible to use your influence, exactly where you are, for real social impact? 🤔

Many times when I look at my pictures, I get unsure as to whether I’m looking at the younger version of my mum or myself.

If DNA that is subject to the dictates of the Creator is this potent, how much more being the precise image of the Creator Himself?

We have underestimated this thing called bearing God’s image.

I really do hope that we all can come to the knowledge of its potency in importing God’s agenda to earth as He has given the earthly realms to us to stand in His stead.
