Who will win: Leen (me) vs Page 1 of Weissenborn 😭

Literally stuck on this page for three weeks. But I think I’m getting better!

Stuff me and my teacher worked on:
* not freaking out between note changes. Currently I kinda stop? It’s a tonguing issue tbh I’m working on it.
* holding my C note all the way thru (which is hard especially when u have a Linton… sigh… and your C is just so freaking SHARP because one of the keys is ??? and a pad is too close to the hole !!!)
* fingers on left hand not slipping
* eek
* but! I’m getting more confident 😎

Kinda fun to be a beginner at something when you’re almost an expert in another (PhD)

IT HAS BEEN OBTAINED!
A Linton 2k student model.

It previously belonged to a student, who progressed onto a more professional model (she wants a career in music).

This thing is cheaper than renting it out in the SF Bay Area (where I’m based) for a couple of months.

This is a tough internment, I know. This will be a long journey. I also know. But, what better time to start an odd hobby, than when you’re nearing the end of your PhD?

My friends are very encouraging of my bassoon-associated antics. I’m so thankful for them.

Let’s go!
