We are incredibly honored to share that Tango Charities has been recognized as the 5 Loaves Partner Organization of the Year. But the story behind this award is what means the most to us. Back in May, 5 Loaves reached out with a need in Wylie, Texas. Kids who rely on free and reduced-price meals during the school year needed access to free meals throughout the summer. They asked if Tango Charities could help. Our community stepped up. Through Feed The City, our leaders Blaine Malcolm, Erin Pietrasik and Ken Pietrasik rallied volunteers and helped make sure meals were there when families needed them. By the end of the summer, together we had helped provide more than 11,000 meals to kids in the Wylie community. That is what partnership looks like. 5 Loaves identified a need. Our leaders stepped forward. Our volunteers showed up. And together, we were able to help fill a gap for thousands of meals this summer. We are incredibly grateful to 5 Loaves for this recognition and, more importantly, for trusting Tango Charities to stand alongside them in serving their community. To Blaine, Erin, Ken and every volunteer who showed up this summer: this award belongs to you.
