It might be Monday, but I’m always in the mood for oysters(love) and good times, so it was a very easy decision to pay @tomsoystershack a visit some time ago🦪

Their vision is to create a modern interpretation of the classic oyster shacks along the American coast🌊 They focus on sustainability and a cosy vibe, but also to have quality in mind, where the fresh ingredients are in centrum🙌

This shack will be one of my go to places, now when spring and summer are just around the corner!☀️ You can even have a dip at the oyster shack before and after enjoying a chilled glass of bubbles🥂

It’s no secret that my favourite food is sea food and especially oysters! Let’s oyster it up💃🦪🌶️🌊

A new Japanese store has opened in the heart of Copenhagen and I went there today because I have been craving proper onigiri and karaage for the past many months now🍙🍗

The interior is well made, the humble hospitality that we were shown was excellent and the food was just as we had expected! Utterly delicious to quite fair prices as well🤤

The kitchen fills half of the space and it was very charming to observe how the food was made😍

It’s a perfect spot for a little Japanese snack and we saw several guests as well during our visit! They have plenty other stuff like rice, sauces, pickled things, Kastrup etc💃

I can highly recommend this place to everyone who seeks Japanese food and beverages in Copenhagen🍶🎌🍻

It’s almost the end of January and the weekend is officially upon us, so we have already been on the hunt for this year’s first fastelavnsbolle!💃

I had teamed up with my fastelavnsbolle-partner-in-crime from last year aka @maja.wanderlust and we had the pleasure to bring @amysgotbuns @amy8586 along with us too! The trio was set and off we went together!🤤

We started off by visiting one of the most notorious places in copenhagen and it was no other than @juno_the_bakery of course!🙌

We couldn’t resist to leave one of their types out, so we went for one of each!

Our favourite was, with no doubt, the one with creamy marzipan and blackcurrants! So crispy in a very elegant way, not too sweet, lovely soft cream and that touch with the lavender marinated blackcurrants as topping was just pure class!😮‍💨

The one with chocolate ganache and vanilla custard was very good too! A bit more solid in the texture, but very nice flavour indeed as well🍫

And not to forget the classic piece! Thee semla which was marvellous as always! Don’t think I have tried a better semla yet but let me know if there’s one out there! I’m always hungry to try out new things🫡

@kiko_izakaya is the new cool kid on the block and @bsc_.hoi and I needed an excuse to catch up so off we went to pay them a visit🍽️

Kiko is located inside of @torvehallernekbh and have a rather pleasant corner spot. We went for a late lunch and had most of the place for ourselves.

We ordered a beer each and out came two ice cold beer glasses from the fridge and we knew, that we were in safe and authentic hands already🍻

I’m an oyster guy and out came one of each oysters 3x2; natural, gratin and (the best one)warm sake sauce. Lovely foamy flavour of sake while it still managed to keep it freshness and rawness🍶🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪

The Hiramasa sashimi was ordered too, for each of us and that yuzo kosho/pear water liquid was so fresh and tasty that it was immediately slurped down after the fish, which was extremely flavourful too✨

The pork katsu sando was a must as well! That soft milky bread with the spicy relish and crispy/juicy pork meat took me back to Japan for a short moment🥪

After that, we went for the Danish trout with sake sauce and spicy oil🌶️ Excellent fish in that buttery sauce. Tender and delicious.

A salty dessert came our way too and it was exactly what we needed after such a brilliant feast! The staff is very nice, experienced and made us felt welcome right away🌸

South Korea was a dream destination of mine and had been that for a very long time🇰🇷

My passion for Japan lead me to discover Kpop back in 2011(ish) through the magnificent algorithm of YouTube 💃

I finally decided then to book a ticket for Seoul last year and if I could I would loved to stay there for more than the five days, that I had in February this year😌 I need to explore more of Seoul next time and hopefully also visit Busan as well!

It’s finally here and I miss Tokyo more and more when finding clips for this reel🥹 I can only say, that I’m extremely lucky, blessed and privileged to have visited Japan more than once already in my lifetime and hopefully not the last yet🫶

@annaiet and I only had two full days in Tokyo and those days were of course not enough at all, but we had a tight schedule and we managed most as possible💃

I miss wandering the streets of Tokyo, attending the flea markets, scouting for souvenirs for friends and family, eat out and be guaranteed great food wherever you go, visiting anime and manga shops, finding motives with my camera, feeling small amongst the skyscrapers and tall buildings, clean streets and of course the kind and humble people of Japan❤️

Visiting Japan have been a big dream for me since I was a bairn and I’m very grateful, that I’ve seen this much so far. Until next time Nippon🇯🇵

I’ve been obsessed, fanatic and bewitched by Studio Ghibli since I watched my first, of their films, in the cinema back in 2003. I went there to watch Spirited Away with my mother on a snowy October day almost exactly 23 years ago🐉

Since then I’ve been trying to watch all of them and I have been in love with their films/their universe ever since💆‍♀️

So, I have never been the best at scheduling trips and destinations, so we came a bit late for our entry at the park😅(apparently someone thought that the park was located in Tokyo and not Nagoya, which were 3-4 hours away from where our hotel was🤪)

The park was much bigger than anticipated, so I believe that we managed to see 60% of all of it😀😂🥲 But then we have a rather fine excuse to come back again I believe🤓

The park is divided into specific areas of their own little worlds. The areas are based on several of the films and we made our way to How’s Moving Castle, The Wind Rises, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Spirited Away and into their enormous cinema🍿😍🎞️

I’ve been to the Studio Ghibli museum before(in Tokyo) and they had the same concept as here. When entering the park, you are given a specific ticket for a certain and specific short-film, that you can only watch at the park(Nagoya) or at their museum(Tokyo).

We got to watch Mei and The Kitten Bus🐈 It is its own independent film, but also kinda a short sequel to My Neighbour Totoro. It was amazing and so nostalgic to listen to the music in a cinema😭

It was all in all a total experience and I can only recommend everyone to visit the Ghibli Park and the Ghibli Museum if you ever come to Japan🇯🇵

I’ll forever adore and admire Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki for creating such universes and to bring those stories to life. The films have a very special place in my heart and they’ll forever will🖤

A half a year has passed since my trip to Japan and I’ve been so eager to schedule a flight back, but that will have to wait for now. In the meantime I’m sorting out and looking back at my videos and photos from my trip🗼

I still have some analog shots to show you, a reel from Osaka, a reel from Kyoto and 1-2 reels from Tokyo as a final product. I’m not stressing with it. That’s not how I work. I’m taking it all in my own pace and doing my little silly projects beside my full time job🍀

But I miss Tokyo and I miss Japan. Can’t wait to come back but for now let’s try to share my of my footages from there.

Naoshima has been a destination, that I have been dreaming about for many years now and I finally got to visit this beautiful island during February, earlier this year. It’s an art island and it’s famous for its many museums🙌 The famous Teshima Art Museum is just one of the neirbour islands next to it and I had booked a ticket to visit it, but due to unfortunate weather my trip to Teshima was cancelled😭

It was a bit of a drag in the beginning, but instead I chose to visit as many museums on Naoshima as possible to compensate for my bad luck🤪

I managed to visit Chichu Museum, Benesse House(📸) and Lee Ufan Museum and it was only allowed to take photos inside of those three museums, so unfortunately I can’t show you all the gorgeous art, installations and architecture that I would have loved to otherwise🤓

The day started off very grey and windy and all of sudden it started to snow heavily and a blizzard came to Naoshima for an hour ish before it vanished again⛄️ I spoke to one of the locals, if it snowed often on Naoshima, and she said that it was the first snow in three years🥹

Yayoi Kusama’s yellow pumpkin was unfortunately stored away due to the weather as well so I only managed to visit the red pumpkin, which was lovely too🎃

Naoshima should be a top destination, in Japan, for everyone who adore art and who wants to get a bit away from the bigger cities. Until next time Naoshima🌸

Hiroshima was not only convenient from Seoul airport, but I’ve always wanted to visit The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum to pay my respect and to witness the place, where the first atomic bomb was dropped🕊️

I’ve been fascinated by Japanese history and culture for +25 years now so of course Hiroshima was on my to-go-list for this year’s visit🫡

The museum was the main reason for me to go and it didn’t disappoint at all.

It was heartbreaking and everyone were completely silent and a few/including myself were quite emotional while walking through hallways with photographs, illustrations, sketches and paintings of the aftermath of the bomb💔

Burned bodies, torn limbs, melted flesh, crooked buildings and dead women, men and children were portrayed and yet you still left the museum with a relieved feeling of hope and that it would never happen again in our time❤️‍🩹

The museum is a must visit and is a important piece of our history and to better understand the Japan that you’ll visit today or someday🙏

Lovely city and was way warmer than Seoul at that time too(was in start February)✨

I made my way to Miyajimacho and to the significant Otorii gate as well. Pretty place and delightful island with deers casually walking around us🦌

Hiroshima had a calm atmosphere surrounding it. Can’t wait to go back one day again✨

There’s always plenty and several ways of commuting yourself in a big city! I was only in Seoul for a total of 6 days and I was very pleased with of easy it was to get from a to b🇰🇷

I managed to walk quite a lot, but it was very delightful to be in such a huge city and yet with a public transportation, that was so easy to navigate around with, to find and to pay for as well!!💵

It’s rather easy to use here I Denmark as well, to find but when it comes to the prices☠️

I’m planning to make a part two from Seoul in a different post so stay tuned and enjoy the spring until then🌸

Perhaps the best bánh mì in Copenhagen!🥖🌶️🌿🍖

@nickie.mydung is the founder of @aboxfromchow and is now serving probably the best bánh mì in Copenhagen!🇩🇰🇻🇳

A lovely selection of five different bánh mìs have now got to the menu card of Chow! I have so far tasted the classic one and the meat ball one and I enjoyed every single bite of them🤤

The classic “China box” is also to be found with delicious toppings and homemade beverages and cakes can be purchased as well😍 Drop by and listen to kpop while enjoying tasty food with a beer or a mango lassi🥭
