FOLLOW THE BIRDS 🦅

We hosted our very first Feeltrip corporate event for 40 curious humans in Diemervijfhoek!! Just a 30-minute bike ride from Amsterdam East. With three brilliant bird guides, refreshing drinks, sweet snacks, creative sketching, and 2.5 hours spent outside, it turned into one of those afternoons that seemed to put everyone at ease.

A small highlight: the printed bird guide we designed didn’t stay in a drawer. It joined another family bird walk a few days later 🫠

Not every team day needs a packed schedule. Sometimes all they need is a walk and a bit of quiet. The ideas usually show up too.

Thank you for joining!

I was so excited when @soeyslim first told me about @feeltrip.outside . An invitation to spend more time outside, to slow down, reconnect with naturewith others and experience it with curiosity again.

It immediately resonated because i think we spend so much of our lives in our heads, planning, solving, consuming and thinking our way through the day. Going outside naturally (pun intended) draws us out of our heads and reminds us that we’re part of something larger. It helps us move from looking to seeing.

And some things can only be seen when we slow down. The play of light through the trees, the texture of bark, the sound of leaves or the rhythm of our own footsteps.

During re:notice we’ll explore what happens when we become curious about what we’re paying attention to. Instead of immediately trying to make sense of everything, we’ll simply notice.

Because i don’t think nature just invites us to notice what’s around us, but it also invites us to notice ourselves. What catches our attention? What do we overlook? What feelings are there before we explain them away?

Nature becomes a mirror. Not because it gives us answers, but because it reflects the way we see the world.

That’s what we’ll be exploring together on Sunday August 9.

If you’d like to spend a morning exploring nature, attention and perspective with us, we’d love you to join. Link in bio. by @feeltrip.outside

Foraged & Served 💭

Three location changes.
Three near cancellations.
One very committed weather forecast.

The rain never showed.
The wind definitely did.

Gathered at NoordOogst, a place full of people growing good things: vegetables, herbs, honey, ideas and community.

Our lunch followed the same philosophy. Seasonal vegetables from the garden, homemade iced tea, local bread, excellent coffee, and a homemade SPF made with beeswax from just down the path.

We learned about powerful plants.
Built a buttercream flower garden together.
And spent a few hours talking to strangers who quickly stopped feeling like strangers.

A good reminder that some of the nicest afternoons are the ones that almost didn’t happen.

More slow afternoons like this soon 🌿

Somewhere between school, screens, schedules, gym classes and gigantic hangovers, I slowly stopped noticing the world around me.

Only a few years ago I was working 50+hour weeks in creative production, living what looked like a dream from the outside, yet running on empty on the inside. I thought having kids would slow me down. I thought cutting my hours would fix it. A bit of energy and inner peace were nowhere to find. What actually helped was something dead simple: going outside. Consistently. Intentionally. In all weathers. Nature gave me something I hadn’t felt and found in a long time. Real presence. Real rest. A sense that I was part of something bigger than my to-do list. That experience is what led me to start @feeltrip.outside , a community platform creating experiences that reconnect people with nature and each other. Birding, fishing, creative walks, outdoor cooking, educational meals, seasonal gatherings. Moments that leave you feeling calmer, more grounded, present, more human.

While on mission, I’ll be sharing my own personal journey of trying to build something meaningful without burning out in the process. Without getting back stuck behind my screens. I’m calling it slow business for now. No hustle content. No extreme routines. Just the real thing; the ideas, the doubts, the small wins, and what it actually takes to stay connected while doing this.

Feel free to tap out or pull up a chair. It’s going to be a slow one 🐌🌿 by @feeltrip.outside

Second Feeltrip. So many of you joined!

Rain cancelled itself, sun even showed up
Turned into more of a trailrun than planned.

Great effort, even better conversations.
On movement, recovery, and small upgrades.

Birds loud, old trees, even alpaca’s.
Ended with lunch at @hoeve_ravenstein

We went birding 😎
Which, for most people, sounds like:
“standing around quietly looking at birds”
…and yes, technically that’s what it is.

But also: Something slows down.
People stop trying so hard.
Conversations happen without being forced.
At some point, no one’s checking their phone.
No one’s thinking about what to say next.
You’re just walking. Listening.
Noticing things you’d normally miss.
And somehow… that’s enough.

Thanks to everyone who joined this one 🤍
More slow moments like this soon.
