This scene has been haunting me, flipping on like a tv inside my head. I try to change streams but it plays on on eyelid screens, casting through air so stuffy and stagnant. The sound of static drones as the weight of loneliness creeps in, heavy like the contrast of the pale blue light flickering in the darkness. Loneliness is a pervasive emptiness I wouldn’t wish on my enemy. Yet, it consumes so many I hold close like an incurable disease. I’m not sure what’s worse, loneliness or the helplessness to find or give relief. ______ Thankful to work on this rattling display of neglect last year. It’s stuck with me. Cheers to 2025. May it bring more projects as fulfilling. Thank you @itsmiaooooo @konstantin.dp @sbaffo42 and many more who gave this wings! Last summer I spent about a month making a house in 1/24th scale for the key art for our short film ‘Just a Game’ directed by @brandon_mercer Every shingle, every brick, every fence post, every little sliver of siding were hand measured, hand cut and hand painted. The background and floor are hand painted canvas. The telephone post is part of an old dowel I found in my garage and its wires are hand braided black cotton thread. It was a true labor of love and an exploration of patience and craft. Thank you Brandon for trusting me with my first miniature and for always pushing me beyond the bounds and into the unknown! Big congrats to the team on the recent visit to @clefilmfest by @feistyt

To be an artist is to be a dreamer, but to be a dreamer is a trap if you aren’t able to bring your dreams to life. It takes a village to create - from confidants and mentors who help light the uncertain path, givers of resources and opportunities, and those who work hand-in-hand to build the shared vision. I’m thankful for all of the chances I’ve had to create, everyone who helped me get here and all of the invigorating individuals I’ve met and admired along the way. It’s lovely to end 2025 feeling inspired, curious and eager. To less dreaming and more doing in 2026. Cheers. by @feistyt

‘Sudden Apathy’ won the Audience Award at @nitehawkcinema festival 2025! I’m grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with so many dear (& incredibly talented) friends on this deeply personal story. When I read the script written by our director @ryanweatrowski I was struck by the sensitive careful delivery of the relatable horrors of caretaking. It’s something I battle with in caring for my mother. Thoughts and themes were ripped right out of what has been circulating in my head for so many years. Thank you for making my story and so many others. I can’t wait to share this film with you all.
