I næste uge fortsætter vi med skoleforestillinger for Herning-skoler og ugen efter er vi på turné i Ikast/Brande.

Manifestatione Nazionale Roma 14. marzo 2026.
D. 14. marts 2026 var omkring 20.000 mennesker på gaderne i Rom. En helt særlig march fra Piazza della Repubblica til Porta San Giovanni.
Engagerede, følelsesladede og med meget på hjerte demonstrerede deltagerne mod de reformer af retsvæsenet, som var planlagt af regeringen, mod regeringens militarisering og dens støtte til ulovlige amerikansk-israelske angreb på Iran samt folkedrabet i Gaza.

Det var en voldsom, tankevækkende og meget rørende oplevelse for mig, at følge med på helt tæt hold - og at give min ydmyge støtte til disse vigtige mærkesager.
Især de meget stærke markeringer af drab på uskyldige børn i Iran og Gaza rørte mig dybt! Synet af Skoletasker fra børn, som aldrig kom hjem fra skole - i live!
Stop drab på uskyldige - Stop Genocide!

Resultatet af den senere afstemning blev for øvrigt et NEJ og bliver betragtet som et af de største tilbageslag for den italienske regering, siden den tiltrådte 2022.

On March 14, 2026, around 20,000 people took to the streets of Rome. It was an emotional march from Piazza della Repubblica to Porta San Giovanni.
Passionate, deeply moved, and driven by strong convictions, they demonstrated against the judicial reforms planned by the government, against the government’s militarization and its support for illegal US-Israeli attacks on Iran, as well as the genocide in Gaza.

It was an intense, thought-provoking, and deeply moving experience for me to witness this up close—and to offer my humble support for these vital causes.
I was particularly deeply moved by the powerful displays highlighting the killings of innocent children in Iran and Gaza. To see the schoolbags belonging to children who never made it home from school alive!
Stop the killing of innocents – Stop Genocide!

Incidentally, the subsequent vote resulted in a “No” and is considered one of the biggest setbacks for the Italian government since it took office in 2022.

On March 14, 2026, around 20,000 people took to the streets of Rome. It was an emotional march from Piazza della Repubblica to Porta San Giovanni.
Passionate, deeply moved, and driven by strong convictions, they demonstrated against the judicial reforms planned by the government, against the government’s militarization and its support for illegal US-Israeli attacks on Iran, as well as the genocide in Gaza.

It was an intense, thought-provoking, and deeply moving experience for me to witness this up close—and to offer my humble support for these vital causes.

🩷International Women’s Day in Rome 8.3.2026 was very powerful - again!

It has become a desk tradition for me to follow the Festa Della Donna on March 8th in the streets of Rome - with a bubbling heart and with my camera in hand.
So... I was there again - right in the middle of it all!
This year the procession started in Piazza Ugo La Malfa at the Circus Maximus. As in other years, the participants gathered in the hours leading up to the procession - thousands of people with banners, battle cries, inciting speeches and songs.
The driver’s car arrived under proper instructions from the accompanying police - The demonstration could begin!
The demonstration this year took place in the evening, which gave a very special atmosphere from the city lights, lit torches and light shows that were thrown onto the walls of large historic buildings that we passed.

All the way I followed the procession and absorbed the moods, vibrations and the powerful statements - very close...

In a long sequence this year I followed a group of young women who transformed themselves from festive demonstrators to masked activists along the way. Their cause is supported by sticking up posters and writing statements along the way supported by battle cries and colored Roman candles. Very effective and expressive.

The march in Rome on March 8th contains many important issues. One of the biggest is probably a protest against gender-based violence and a call against patriarchal structures.
An eventful day ended in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and after a much-needed cup of coffee I walked the 4 km through the nightstreets of Rome back to my Cosy apartment in Trastevere.
