It’s our last day here at @lyndsey_ingram - it has flown by! Jeremy will be at the gallery this afternoon until 6pm to answer any and all questions about the new furniture collection - everything was handmade by him so he can talk through all the intricacies of each piece. Squeezing the art from everyday essentialsJeremy and Cath @feldsparstudio, a couple based in Devon in the south of England, draw inspiration from the kinds of objects used as part of daily life by their grandparents, and make objects built to be used and to last, rather than dusted off for special occasions. Introducing our Tubby Vase - the perfect size for a sprig saved from a summer storm or to showcase a majestic dahlia.Inspired by the classic green glass orb vases but shrunk down to a manageable size and handmade in our Devon studio from bright white fine bone china, the Tubby is fully glazed and finished with a slick of colour around the neck. Introducing our new Vases, a trio that we’ve developed over years of refining here at our workshop in rural Devon. We wanted something big enough for armfuls of cow parsley and something small enough for a single rose rescued from a summer storm - and one inbetween for good measure!A showstopping Giant Footed Vase with an elegant profile - big enough for the largest bouquet, to stand on a side table or as the focal point for a huge celebration. A smaller but no less elegant vase with handles, affectionately called Big Ears here at the workshop - with a tapered profile to support and show off the blooms within. And last but not least, our Tubby Vase - inspired by the classic green glass orb vases but shrunk down to a manageable size, for a sprig from the garden or a small bouquet.All are handmade in our Devon workshop using fine bone china, with hand-painted accents and our characteristic ‘wobbly’ sides that catch the light beautifully, creating striking, sculptural shapes - with or without the flowers within. Feldspar Studio x De Beers — Dartmoor, Devon.For this collaboration between Feldspar and De Beers, we captured a process film that explores the relationship between craft and the landscape.In this set of sequences from the film, we invite you to watch the mesmerising processes of Feldspar studio.
