I’m thrilled to share some of the backgrounds I created for the animated short film Vortex. It was so much fun bringing this universe to life.

I was responsible for illustrating and handling post-production for these scenes, with some assistance from @maria__mercante , who helped develop the concept for the illustrated mural. The animation was made by @fs.guilherme and colored by @gabiscoitinha !

Working on this project allowed me to meet amazing people and taught me how to coordinate and direct a team of talented artists.

I hope you enjoy it! by @felipegandd

Finalmente postando! 🥰

I've done this study of texture and color some time ago. I'm pretty happy with the result and I hope you like it too, I'm also posting a short speedpaint of the process to demonstrate my process of decomposing the reference and creating something new out of it.

“An insult to life itself” -Hayao Miyazaki

I’m excited to share more of the backgrounds I created for the animated short film Vortex.
