Watching our son Ryan grow has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives.

As parents, and as a family, we couldn’t be prouder of the young man you are becoming. Yes, we’ve seen your growth as a footballer your skill, confidence, understanding of the game, and the way you’ve embraced every opportunity to learn from coaches, teammates, and experiences around the world. But what makes us proudest is the person behind the player.

Over the years, we’ve watched you become more independent, taking ownership of your wellbeing, your preparation, and your self-management. You’ve learnt that success isn’t just about talent it’s about discipline, resilience, humility, and showing up every day with purpose.

We’ve admired the maturity you’ve developed, the respect you show others, and the positive role you play within your team. Football has given you so much more than a game. It has opened doors to incredible life experiences, meaningful connections, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Seeing you proudly represent your Timor-Leste heritage fills our hearts with immense pride. You carry not only your family’s hopes but the spirit of a nation with humility and gratitude.

It’s hard to sum up the brilliant year that Max has had but seeing how confident and comfortable he was co-leading the final awards assembly 🎤, to the emotions of the final day with some wonderful mates 💞 to the calm focus he has on the football field ⚽️, all makes me feel that it’s such a privilege to be his mumma. Max entered the Dymocks Beyond Words short story competition earlier this year and was long listed in the top 100 out of over 3500 entries. He went on to be shortlisted in the top 10 of the Primary category for his story "The Pharaoh's Guardian". by @felisimina
