Hannelore is the Bitterfeld-Wolfeners’ salt mill. It can grind the salty quinoa, which is harvested in and around Bitterfeld-Wolfen. It is made from secondary aluminum sourced from the region’s old industrial scrap. It is a symbol of change, away from an industrial past and toward a future-oriented region.
