Swedish insurtech company and Feminvest Ventures portfolio company Charly has entered into a new partnership with Söderberg & Partners, bringing Charly’s digital platform to more employers and working parents.

Charly’s platform helps parents and expecting parents understand how decisions such as parental leave, working part-time and taking on unpaid work at home can affect their future pension and personal finances. The aim is to make the long-term financial consequences of everyday family decisions more visible and easier to understand. Read more on Feminvest.se by @feminvestventures

This morning I had my fist coffee at @lrfsverige for an investor breakfast with @impactloop.se digging into what investors are looking for in agtech right now (nature, food, agriculture) and the macro trends driving the capital flowing into the sector.

Climate volatility, war and extreme weather have turned food, water and farming into some of the hottest categories for investors, family offices and VCs are actively hunting for the next big innovation.

Great conversation with Industrifonden, PINC (Paulig Group), NitroCapt, and Acerna on what it takes for agtech founders to break through, plus a first look at LRF Ventures’ new report on the future of agtech investment. 🌾

This upcoming week I’m heading to Madrid and World Football Summit to speak for professional football players about the work we’re doing at @feminvest, @feminvestventures and @feminvest.accelerator and why more investments is instrumental for us to empower women in business, sports or in the public sector. I am kindly invited by @agencycmg CEO @mariakdececco. CMG is a global agency representing players, coaches, decision-makers and clubs at the highest level, exclusively in the world of women’s football. Established in Stockholm in 2015, they've spent a decade shaping the market and setting new standards, while being behind the Women’s Football Expo.

Since 2018, salaries for women professional football players in Swedish clubs have grown 123%. The male players have had an increase in their salaries too but not as exponential.

And yet, the share of VC funding going to women remains essentially flat. (Swipe to see it for yourself)

At the same time the visibility of women’s football has transformed. Someone recently said to me:

“The quality of women’s football has become so much better. It deserves more viewers and funding.”

And I keep thinking about that. Because maybe more money enabled the growth.

Or maybe the players were always that good but without investment, infrastructure, visibility and recognition, they simply didn’t have the platform to show it. I am meeting 27 girls as a football coach every week and I know one day they will have to face the reality that by today’s standard they may not be able to choose football if they want to.

Women’s football is an investment story. A growth story we should apply in other areas like; the untapped potential with women’s entrepreneurship

I’m excited to bring this conversation to Madrid and to challenge the room to think bigger about where the next wave of value will come from.

What an incredible session we had at our Feminvest Pitch & Community Event, hosted by @almistockholm! ⚡️

We were thrilled to partake in @nordictechweek this week, bringing our @feminvest community together to spotlight diversity, capital, and innovation across the ecosystem. At @feminvest.accelerator and @feminvestventures, our mission is to drive capital toward female-founded companies and empower our network of visionaries. Watching these entrepreneurs take the stage, share their bold visions, and field sharp questions from investors was a powerful reminder of what happens when capability meets opportunity.

Our portfolio company Paebbl recently launched Rebond 300 - the world’s first carbon-negative construction material (EPD-verified).

Every tonne = -149 kg CO2 🌍
How? Captured CO2 is turned into a stable mineral powder using Paebbl’s ”geomimicry” tech, then used to replace traditional cement. The result: every building becomes a permanent carbon store.

Construction is one of the hardest industries to decarbonize. This flips the equation, bigger projects equals bigger carbon sinks. 🔁

Swipe-worthy stat: real physics, not carbon accounting tricks.

📍 Already in talks for CO2-storing data centres, infrastructure, and residential builds.

“The best companies get the funding.”

I hear this sometimes, last week from a person explaining why I should stop mentioning gender at all.

But that sentence only makes sense if funding is already meritocratic. It isn’t. Funding follows pattern recognition and the pattern most investors recognize is a man they’ve seen before.

So when women get less capital, that’s not the market telling us something about quality. It’s the market telling us something about itself.

I’ve been given plenty of advice this year. Stay quiet about who I actually invest in (women that is). Save it as a surprise for later. Skip the investing in women perspective completely, skip the focus on raising external capital and let women build companies organically.

None of that is feedback on the thesis but an advise to mirror exactly what they do, based on what they see.
A few years ago I didn’t know, today I know too well that it’s not their decision to make on how you as a female founder want to scale your business.
