Here’s this year’s poster,,, you may have already seen it out and about, and/or pinned up on the back of a loo door!

At Ferally we like keep things as trad and old school as possible, sharing posters out and meeting people. Word of mouth feels like the right way for Ferally Good to grow,,, naturally and without paid advertising. It also gives us and others the chance to connect with like-minded, creative, music-loving/crumble-loving folk along the way. So, if you know someone who’d appreciate what Ferally Goods about, let them know and keep the Ferally community growing.

Woahwee folks, what a beautiful whirlwind Ferally was this year. To see our stages filled with outstanding artists and music, a field of canvas tents with pizza, crafts, and stalls
the smell of food drifting through the trees, queues for crumble ending in double rainbows on the horizon
as if everyone was waiting for their own little pot of gold. Too perfect, too symbolic to forget.

All the pieces of this creative puzzle of people... all of you
came together to weave a wee bit of magic for us to share. So here’s a pause, a round of applause, and a huge thank you for everyone’s time, creativity, and input, great or small. It’s everyone’s generosity that makes Ferally possible, and it’s also what connects us. These connections hold us together and keep our autonomy alive through small, independent, community actions like ours. Hold onto your community.

Big love from the Ferally Crew
lift yourselves up, take pride in what we’ve built, and we’ll meet again next year to see what more we can create.

With all the love and gratitude from the Ferally Team,, we would like to say an overwhelmingly (and we are genuinely overwhelmed),,,big thank you to all the individuals that put in their time and creativity, lent and shared tents, electrics, speakers and all the components needed to run this event,,,, and to all those giving their full on gusto and inputting all their love!,,, This love and dedication put in by all adds up and ripples out to all those who come and join the community for the weekend and allows the all people to take that feeling and ethos out of the Ferally field and carry it beyond the hedgerows.
As a small crew that have watched this unfold over the last 3 years It has given us a brilliant hope in the collective ability of a small community to see what is possible to pull together on a shoe string when the task is presented to us. The community spirit that is present within us all, and the want to fulfill that community instinct is there,,, putting time into a project for not the want of money but the want of something bigger, a story to tell when we’re old of a folk gathering and dancing together to songs of old and new, kids running to tell their friends back at school how they ate the worlds biggest crumble, the couple made their own wedding rings at a workshop and then proposed to be married all at Ferally,,,,,it truly is a special place for 3 days in September,, but a special story that holds through into the grains of history in people’s lives that’s take part.
This is what we do it for and we thank you all for joining the ride with us, a making the ride us, and sharing that community out beyond!
Massive love to you all!

Watch out for next years ‘worlds biggest’something, suggestions welcomee

Some crumble folklore from a field near Glastonbury...

At @ferally_good festival we set out to make the world’s biggest crumble, using apples, plums and berries donated by local people, gardens and orchards, including plenty of fruit that might otherwise have gone to waste.

It was a proper family affair. Lots of hands peeling, chopping, stirring and crumbling, all coming together around one massive pudding.

Cooked over fire by forager chef Peter ‘Chippy’ Grant @thegathererwild and Callum Brunt @callum_brunt, with the huge metal trays and fire-cooking contraption made specially for the occasion by blacksmith and carpenter Will Heard @heardysworkshop.

A massive thank you to @infinityfoodswholesale, @essentialtrading, @shiptonmill and @weareoatier for donating ingredients, and @torrecider for giving us so many apples. And thank you to everyone else who donated fruit, got stuck in, helped along the way or simply came along and shared the day with us.

Then came the great crumble unveiling, hosted by Gordie, with a beautiful poem from his wife Carol, our crumble judges Dec, Stan and Molly, and a blessing from @junx-comix before everyone tucked in.

A bit of harvest celebration, community abundance and good old-fashioned sharing. Made by many, for everyone to eat.

Lovely people, lovely chaos and a lot of crumble. by @ferally_good

We are absolutely stoked we have Les Caravanes joining us, who will be playing on Sunday night!

‘Les Caravanes is a traveling folk club project curated by musician Sam Grassie, featuring a collective of British folk singers and instrumentalists.

Known as a “travelling folk club,” they perform intimate acoustic sets and also raucous full-band trad tunes, often featuring members of Broadside Hacks and Shovel Dance Collective.’ by @ferally_good

We find it’s always best to be silly on Sundays.

So it goes without saying that this Sunday we are introducing ‘don’t give a frock, wear a frock’. Calling all ye silly goose’s to rummage for your fanciest frocks, borrow from friends, scour those charity shops, or frock swap on the day.

There will be frock inspired life drawing, frock frolicking, and a chance to find your soulmate!
Don’t miss our best dressed competition for your chance to win a ticket for Ferally Good 2027.

Here’s to us frockiling together.

Hold onto your hats, another international act joins us from across the pond - Beau Red.
Beau will be popping up on multiple stages across the weekend, including a very special set with Joe Strouser and Joe Trudgen, which we cannot wait to see.

‘Beau Red, a timeless Americana blend of folk, country, blues, grass, and jazz.

Genre bending and story telling, he’s honed a distinct sound only attributed to that of the likes of Beau. To put it plainly the man is Unapologetically and Irrevocably Red.’

BE AWARE, BRING YOUR CRUMBLE WEAR!

Making the the world’s biggest crumble means there’s going to be lots left over. You’re welcome to take as much as you can carry so please bring your tuppawears, cool boxes, chest freezers etc. Bringing your own utensils is a must for this site. We try to be as low waste as possible and have limited options onsite.

It’s all hands on deck for the crumble. Bring your peelers - and head to the Rusty Skillet on Saturday morning and become a Crumblteer.

If you have trees or bushes laden with fruit (not just apples), please comment below and bring them along to join the apple party.

We can’t wait to crumble with you. by @ferally_good
