We want to bring FRÍ(G)IDA to more cities around the world! 🌎

Think there’s room at your festival for a razor-sharp 19-min comedy that digs into family taboos around sexuality? 🫦

We’re landing in Athens!!! 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

So beyond excited to announce that my comedy FRI(G)ID has been selected for the @aimaffestival

This was my second time directing a short film and my first made with funding from ESCAC Films as my final project for the Directing Master’s at @escac

A huge thank you to my incredible team and actors!

@angela.jove is Frida
@lauraubach is Ana
@dieguico is Luís

The story: The routine of a widowed grandmother is turned upside down when an unexpected package arrives at the apartment where she lives with her family. Upon opening it, her conservative son is shocked and sets off a chaotic crisis as he tries to control not only his mother but also his own teenage daughter, who begins to challenge his ideas about behavior and identity. Amid explosive arguments and awkward situations, what seems like a normal afternoon turns into a comedic battleground where different generations clash over desires that can no longer be ignored.

Are you ready to laugh nervously? 🧨
