Yesterday was the first day of the 4th edition of the Gas Investment Forum, and it was a day filled with insightful conversations around the future of Nigeria’s gas industry.

As a team, we were there to listen, learn and hear directly from key players in the industry.

Nigeria has about 210 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves, making us one of Africa’s largest holders of natural gas. The opportunity is huge. But the question is how do we turn these resources into economic value?

A major focus of Day 1 was the underutilisation of our gas resources and the need to do more to commercialise gas and unlock opportunities across the value chain.

There were also honest conversations around some of the challenges holding back investment, from infrastructure gaps and access to finance to security and other structural issues affecting the industry.

For us at Audma Integrated Services Ltd, being in the room was more than just attending a conference. It was an opportunity to listen, connect with industry players and better understand where the opportunities are.

There is a lot of potential in Nigeria’s gas sector. The work is in turning that potential into value.

Day 1 was insightful. We look forward to more conversations.

Natural gas scrubbers, also known as knockout drums, are an important part of a reliable gas processing system.

We are proud to be working on our 6th and 7th scrubbers since inception. Getting to this level has taken real work, experience, corrections and continuous improvement.

Our scrubbers are designed and fabricated to efficiently remove condensate and other liquid carryover from natural gas, helping to protect downstream equipment and support smoother gas processing operations.

Growing up, I was the kind of child who asked my parents countless questions, and I was fortunate to have parents who were always patient and willing to guide me.

Today, I find myself experiencing that same beautiful connection from the other side. My daughter genuinely cares about me and is constantly curious about my daily routine, my workload, and the projects I am working on. She follows up on project updates, keeps track of the different sites I visit, and somehow remembers the details of everything happening around me.

Last week, I asked her why she was so passionate about what I do. Her response touched me deeply: “I can’t wait to assist you in managing Audma activities.”

In that simple statement, I felt something far deeper than an interest in my work. I felt the pure love, connection, and bond between a father and his daughter. It was one of those moments that quietly fills a father’s heart with immense joy.

It also brings me so much happiness to watch her follow her mum to Lagos Business School, sit calmly, listen attentively, and absorb conversations about finance and business.

Perhaps this is what legacy looks like—not just building something for our children, but watching them become curious about it, learn from it, and one day dream of becoming part of it.

For me, these are the moments that make fatherhood truly special.

Not everyone will agree with your opinion, like you, or genuinely believe in your journey. Sometimes, even family, friends, business partners, and, on some occasions, your better half may quietly write you off and choose to ignore the sacrifices you’ve made.

But never let any of that change who you are or make you regret your actions. Keep moving. Keep believing. Keep doing what you do best.

My life is deeply soaked in all of this, but I refuse to let it consume me. I won’t let other people’s doubts define me, and I won’t allow their choices to stop me from becoming who I’m meant to be.

Keep going. Your journey is yours.
