Nope, I tried.
It’s impossible to sum up the best human in any amount of words or pictures.

So instead, here are some fun facts about my Yobbers:

- he loves tooth floss. there is always a used string somewhere in the house like a tiny disgusting treasure trail.
- he’s naturally good at basically everything except swimming. he can’t swim, he paddles.
- he refuses to rewatch shows or movies. i’m currently on my 26th run of The Office.
- if he starts a game, that becomes his full time occupation for the next 3–5 business days. Possessed by determination.
- the boy can COOK.
- he’ll put his toothbrush literally anywhere except the toothbrush holder.
- he dims the bedroom lights from his phone every night before we sleep
- he loves crisps at a level that should probably be studied.
- if i ask him how to spell or pronounce something, he says “who cares. do whatever you like”
- whenever he goes to see family or friends, he cleans the house first
- he creates little modern art installations out of chewed gum on his desk and bedside table
- he drops me off at our door and then parks the car (it’s literally a 10 step walk away)
- if he knows you, he loves you. genuinely. i don’t think i’ve ever heard him speak badly about anyone, even people who’ve upset him. his levels of empathy are beyond my comprehension.
- he works harder than anyone i know.
- 90% of our laundry belongs to him somehow.
- he is, very simply, one of the best people to exist.

Sup.
I recently read somewhere that daisies represent simplicity, innocence and new beginnings. Cute. But when I read they also represent resilience, I thought ahh, the universe cooked. They grow where they want. They don’t care if you like them or not, they’re popping out anyway 😌
After 50 million years of experience, they’ve made peace with reality.
Perfect doesn’t exist.
(hard typing those words out as a perfectionist)

Lesson from nature, I guess: you don’t need to overthink or seek permission. Just pop up like, surprise bitch 💁🏻‍♀️
