Some things fit like a glove until they don’t.

This was my fave and only “surf uniform” during the pandemic.

Tried it on again earlier this year after yeaaaars of not wearing it.

It felt surprisingly familiar and uncomfortable.

Didn’t know such things could coexist at the same time.

Still held me, though (somehow).

Feels very there and back again.

Almost a month and I’m still processing everything from @queenofthepoint 🤣

As someone who doesn’t compete on a professional level, this experience felt incredibly full circle. It reminded me why I love challenges, growth, and showing up even when things don’t go as planned.

To @carlafina , @mike_eijansantos and @mylifeonboard team, the Queen of the Point team, my heat mates (@andieigengirl @najdecastro @rsh.penn @flow_with_o omg i forgot the handles of y’all), the locals, friends, family (esp to my Mama whom I inherited my ocean alpha baby genes) and everyone who cheered me on from near and far, thank you.

We were just supposed to figure out lunch after surfing but look where we found ourselves.

Welcomed by Baganga’s best and experienced a bit of coastal community living. Surfed a beautiful beach break with no ouchies. Sneaked a peek (and more) into one of the most gatekept (lol imo) and underrated places in the east coast.

Spontaneity has a way of calling you into the kind of adventure you didn’t know you needed. You doubt if it’s worth it, but deep down, you know it always is.

It’s the break you didn’t know you needed. The challenge you’ve been unconsciously looking for. The kind of discomfort you learn to sit with.

It’s as if you’ve awoken from a deep, deep slumber and forgotten how you got here but remembering, all at once, this IS who you’ve been all along.
