Finally, the secret is out!🤰🏼✨

If you’re looking for a longer fall hike with beautiful mountain views, the Le Scotora trail in Jacques-Cartier National Park is definitely one to add to your list. 🍁🏔️

The trail starts at km 30 of the park, with easy access to parking. You’ll begin by crossing a scenic wooden bridge over the Jacques-Cartier River — and in the fall, the surrounding mountains make this an especially beautiful spot for photos. 🌉🍂

One thing to know: the trail is officially rated Difficult, but that rating is mainly due to the length of the trail. At 16 km, it’s a long hike, and we spent about 4 hours on the trail with stops to enjoy the views and take photos.

There are a few steeper sections, but nothing that felt particularly technical or difficult. 🥾

Near the summit, you’ll also find a beautiful beaver dam — and if you’re lucky, you might even spot the beavers! 🦫 The lookout is absolutely worth the effort, especially when the fall colours are showing.

🥾 Le Scotora — Jacques-Cartier National Park
• 📍 Start: Km 30 so 1.5hrs from Québec City
• 🔁 Distance: 16 km round-trip
• ⛰️ Elevation gain: ~550 m
• ⏱️ Our time: ~4 hrs
• 🟢 Difficulty: Moderate
• 🚫 Dogs: Not allowed
• 👶 Baby-friendly: Not recommended because of the distance
• 🍂 Best season: Fall for the foliage & mountain views
• 💵 Park fee: ~$9.55/day (free with Sépaq card)

✨ Save this one for your Quebec fall hiking list and share it with someone you’d hike 16 km with! 🍂

If you’re still waiting for the perfect fall hike… this is your sign to GO. 🍁

The fall colours are reaching their final stretch in many parts of Québec, and these are 3 hikes I would NOT wait on if you want to experience those iconic yellow, orange & red mountain views before the leaves are gone. 👀🍂

🥉 3 — L’Éperon | Jacques-Cartier National Park
📅 Filmed October 5, 2026
🥾 5 km
⛰️ 250 m elevation gain
⏱️ ~1h45
🔄 Loop
⭐ 4.7/5 on AllTrails

A shorter hike with a big payoff — steep at the beginning, but the panoramic views make it SO worth it. And the fall colours here were still looking incredible when I filmed this on Monday. 🍁

🥈 2 — La Chouenne | Grands-Jardins National Park
📅 Filmed October 7, 2026
🥾 4.7 km
⛰️ Moderate
⏱️ ~1h31
🔄 Loop
⭐ 4.7/5 on AllTrails

One of my favourite short hikes in Charlevoix for a 360° mountain view. The summit gives you that classic Québec fall scenery without needing an all-day hike. 🏔️🍂

🥇 1 — Le Scotora | Jacques-Cartier National Park
📅 Filmed October 5, 2026
🥾 15.9 km
⛰️ 711 m elevation gain
⏱️ ~5h18
🔄 Loop
⭐ 4.6/5 on AllTrails

This one is for the hikers who want the full fall adventure. Long, challenging and packed with beautiful views — including an incredible panorama from the top. 🍁🏔️

⚠️ SAVE THIS NOW if you’re planning a fall hike this week. The colours are changing FAST, and some of these areas are already entering their final stretch. 🍂

The colours are starting to show across the Eastern Townships, and if you’re looking for a WOW fall hike with beautiful mountain views, colourful forests and panoramic viewpoints, the Cantons-de-l’Est should definitely be on your list this weekend. 🍁⛰️

📸 Videos taken on October 2nd, 2026. The colours are starting to really pop in the Eastern Townships, and I expect the next few days to be even more colourful! 🤯🍂

Here are 3 hikes I’d recommend for experiencing the fall colours in the Eastern Townships:

🍂 Pic de l’Ours via Sentier des Crêtes — 10.9 km • 4h14 • Difficult • 585 m elevation gain

🍂 Mont Giroux — 3.7 km • 1h32 • Moderate • 255 m elevation gain

🍂 Le Pékan — 8.4 km • 2h16 • Moderate • 228 m elevation gain

The combination of colourful forests, mountain ridgelines, lakes and panoramic viewpoints makes the Eastern Townships such a beautiful place to explore in the fall. 🍂🥾

I’ll be sharing more updates as the colours move across Québec, so save this video + send it to someone planning a fall hike!

One of the most beautiful waterfall hikes near Québec City 🍁💦

The trail to Chute Delaney takes you deep into the Vallée Bras-du-Nord, following the river through the forest until you reach this impressive multi-tiered waterfall. And in the fall? The colours make the whole hike even more beautiful. 🍂

🥾 Distance: 8.2 km
⛰️ Elevation gain: 122 m
⏱️ Duration: 1h45–2h45
🌲 Difficulty: Easy
🐶 Dogs: Yes, on leash
📍 Vallée Bras-du-Nord, Saint-Raymond, QC
📸 Videos taken on September 27th 2026

It’s a great option if you’re looking for a family-friendly waterfall hike in Québec without a huge elevation gain. You can also continue farther toward the Delaney refuge and viewpoints if you want a longer adventure.

FALL FOLIAGE UPDATE🍂: in date of September 30th 2026, I saw a few people posting on my FB page and on All Trails and I can confirm that the Colors are there (just like in my reel)😍🍂 It’s time to plan your Roadtrip in the next few days to catch this iconic view!!!

The Mont du Dôme – Mont Orignal – Mont Saint-Michel Loop in Zec des Martres is one of the most beautiful hikes near Québec City. Expect lush forests, fresh mountain air, and breathtaking panoramic views from not one, but three different summits. 🌄

Pro tip 💡
This loop takes you to 3 summits! The viewpoint featured in this video is Mont Saint-Michel—my personal favorite because it’s usually the quietest and least crowded. 🤫✨

🚗 Parking: The parking area is right along the roadside. It’s very easy to access and almost impossible to miss.

✨ Trail stats:
📍 Zec des Martres, Charlevoix, Quebec
🥾 9.5 km loop or 5.8 to viewpoint
⛰️ 543 m elevation gain
⏱️ 3.5–4 hours
🔥 Intermediate–Advanced
🐶 Dogs allowed on leash
📸 Video taken on Sept 30th 2025
