POSTS STORIES REELS

There was an uncontrollable urge to curl up and be hugged by the ghost of home.
A transportable house, this suitcase was
Like a snail; the fleeting, spiraling feeling of belonging.

A feeling that a twenty-year-old immigrant, ten thousand kilometers away from home, was challenged with. The cold digging into your bones, the Milanese gloom, the loneliness, all your life summed up in a suitcase.

The smell of fresh beans and chilies in the kitchen, my father’s salsa music blasting from the speakers as my mother danced with the broom. Light coming in through all the windows, a jungle surrounding every corner- all in a flash.

I looked around my home in Isola (the district of Milan called island) and grabbed anything that would remind me of who I was. I wanted to conjure a spell and be transported home.

Like a witch I threw in my cauldron my father’s rum for Cubitas, a rag doll my mother gifted me with a tiny baby that could clip onto her breast, my Santería necklaces for protection, Frida’s paintings as a reminder of what home felt like—passionate and colorful. The Costco extra-large bottle of shampoo, because who knew if I could find curly-hair shampoo in Italy? My grandmother’s photo, who had just passed, but whose voice I could still hear yelling at me: “Niña, ¿te vas a poner a pintar?!” And my mole for the mal de amores. Paint. Lots of it. And my small little camera.

Inside is the inside of my traveling heart: a dissection of what twenty-year-old me carried inside her suitcase in order to feel normal in a foreign country.

Thank you, @iosonoariete for the honor of taking these elements and giving this photograph a continuation of life on your new album, Tutti tornano a casa, (everyone returns home) such a special feeling.
Grazie Mille @bombadischi & @theunfairplay For the vision and making this happen.
& gracias to little fernanda that after all these years has finally managed to make my home inside me.

Art is more than an object; it’s a vessel for memory. Mexican painter and sculptor Fernanda Uribe explores how the things we live with define our relationship to the space around us. Maison Solare is envisioned as a gallery of lived experiences, where art, memory, and intention converge to create a home that feels deeply personal.

Angel whispers as I meditate, scribbled on my notebook. Thoughts on beauty, self love and creation. Turn nothing into something,, a song, a poem, a drawing, a love story.

Llorar apaga incendios // crying puts out fires 💧🔥

There is freedom
in water.

To clean.
To puddle & reflect the sky.
To evaporate.
To have the strength of cutting marble.

Turn your eyes
into the setting sun
to be a little more free,
a little more human.

Water your garden
with the natural ever-flowing
spring within you.

The Green Lion devours the Sun 🦁🌞
watercolor on cotton paper, 2026

One of alchemy’s most enigmatic symbols, first famously illustrated in the Rosarium Philosophorum (1550), the Green Lion devouring the Sun represents dissolution as the first step toward transformation. In alchemical practice, the lion symbolizes the powerful force capable of dissolving gold—the Sun—purifying matter so it can be reborn in a more perfected state.

On a Jungian level, this image speaks to the dissolution of the ego and the confrontation with the unconscious. Only by allowing the constructed self to be consumed can a deeper, more integrated self emerge. What appears to be destruction is, in truth, the beginning of illumination.

Change rarely arrives gently. It asks us to surrender certainty, release familiar identities, and trust that transformation often begins in the places that feel most uncomfortable.

As we move through Leo season—the season of the Sun, the heart, courage, and authentic self-expression—I find myself returning to this ancient symbol. Not as an image of loss, but of sacred renewal. Sometimes the brightest light we carry must first be swallowed so it can be reborn from within.

The Green Lion reminds us that becoming is never linear. It is cyclical, instinctual, and deeply alive.

Every metamorphosis begins with an act of surrender.

If you were to paint your own Green Lion, what would it be devouring? I’m thinking of hosting a watercolor workshop where we each create our own Green Lion as a meditation on transformation. Would you come? 🦁☀️🎨 by @fernanda___uribe

“El Respiro”—the breath.

In Spanish, el respiro is that fleeting moment before you lean into a kiss. A single inhale. A pause where time softens, anticipation swells, and you surrender.

This sculpture was born from that suspended instant- the invisible space between longing and touch, between two people choosing each other.

Thinking about the moment of choosing, breathing is kind of like a dance where two moving bodies become one. The little exception I made - I sneaked in Leon, their furry angel on the side of the wedding dress 🐈 as to remind us we are always depending on each other for love & support.

It was an honor to be part of this special celebration, in a magical setting, surrounded by friends I love & admire. A wedding filled with creatives, music, dancing and so much love.

To witness a work created in the intimacy of my studio find its place in a celebration of love, surrounded by centuries of history, family, laughter, and beauty, is one of the greatest gifts an artist can receive. Thank you @alicemartinellli & @stefano_ortega 🙏🏽♥️

May we never lose our capacity to pause, to feel, and to lean into love. 🤍 by @fernanda___uribe
