So, have you heard yet? 👀 I’m featured in this month's issue of Artscope Magazine!

@fiksclaudia wrote a beautiful piece called "Authorship in Flux" that really gets to the heart of my process—that sweet spot between intentional creation and letting chance, layering, and distortion take over.

I’ve always loved work that resists a tidy, fixed meaning, because it leaves a blank canvas for you to step into.

Huge thanks to @artscopemagazine and Claudia for the thoughtful feature.

Breaking the boundaries of the canvas.

For the Copley Society of Art's Fresh Paint exhibition in Boston, I transformed an original painting into one of my signature cube pieces.

The painting features a good artist friend of mine, @alm.ost.art whose work you should definitely check out and follow!

The idea was to take something traditionally confined to a two-dimensional surface and push it into physical, three-dimensional space.

What began as a painting becomes a sculptural exploration of form, space, and perspective.

Watch the transformation from canvas to cube.

What happens when we can no longer distinguish reality from fiction?

I created Their Lies Will Convince Us as a reflection on artificial intelligence and a future where the images, voices, and stories we encounter on social media become indistinguishable from reality.

Through fragmented portraiture, bold colors, and a face reconstructed from competing forms, I explore a world where even our perception of what is human may become uncertain.

I have another prediction.

AI will eventually reveal something far more unsettling than its own capabilities. It will reveal who we really are.

When the boundaries between truth and illusion disappear, we may be forced to confront humanity without the comfort of the stories we tell ourselves.
And when that day comes, I believe we will either weep at what we discover or take to the streets in celebration.

Perhaps the greatest revelation of artificial intelligence will have nothing to do with machines.

It will be the truth about ourselves.

Their Lies Will Convince Us

Somewhere between beauty and discomfort, I find the most interesting parts of being human.

We spend so much of our lives trying to make sense of things that were never meant to make sense.

We construct identities, hide behind appearances, and convince ourselves that we understand the world around us.

My work challenges those illusions.

These distorted faces aren't meant to be beautiful or grotesque. They're meant to be human. Fractured, contradictory, uncomfortable, and sometimes completely ridiculous.

Because art doesn't always need to provide answers.

Sometimes its greatest purpose is to make us question what we're looking at, including ourselves.

Perhaps the only reasonable response to the absurdity of life is laughter.

Life is a strange contradiction beautiful and grotesque, meaningful and meaningless, tragic and completely ridiculous.

Through distortion and fragmentation, I explore the human experience and the tension between what we reveal and what we try to conceal.

This work embraces that absurdity. A face twisted beyond recognition, caught somewhere between a scream and uncontrollable laughter.

Because sometimes life makes so little sense that all we can do is laugh.

Something big is taking shape.

Every new opportunity pushes me to think differently about my work, the spaces it occupies, and what I can create next.

I've been exploring new directions, challenging familiar ideas, and finding ways to bring my art into unexpected places.

Another exciting opportunity is on the horizon, and I'm looking forward to sharing what's coming.
For now, here's a little glimpse behind the scenes.
More soon.

Unsolicited.

There are things we receive without asking for them.

Opinions. Expectations. Attention. Judgment. Desire. Advice. Labels.

Some disappear almost immediately.

Others stay with us much longer than we would like.

This painting was shown at Black Walls Gallery in Boston, near Fenway. The exhibition has ended, but I wanted to share the work again outside of the context of the show.

Because sometimes a painting continues asking its question long after it comes off the wall.

Sometimes the detail that feels out of place is the one that keeps you looking.

That feeling shaped Wendy’s Cube: recognizing something familiar while being unsure where it belongs.

A face, a form, a fragment of memory. Your eye moves between them, and the painting begins to feel different depending on where you pause.

I wanted to make something you could return to and discover differently each time.

Come see it in person. I’d love to hear what catches your attention.

Nostalgia is comforting until you start questioning whether you remember any of it correctly.

Unconscious Timeline of Nostalgia looks at the way memory changes with time — how certain moments become brighter, others disappear, and some may never have happened quite the way we remember them.

We often treat the past as something fixed.

It isn’t.

Memory edits. Nostalgia romanticizes. And somewhere between what happened and what we choose to remember, a new version of the past begins to exist.

Some paintings are meant to be understood.

Others are meant to leave you with questions.

Wendy’s Cube exists somewhere between portrait, object, memory and interruption. The familiar begins to feel slightly unfamiliar — and that tension is where I want the painting to live.

I’m less interested in giving you the answer than in what happens when you stand in front of it long enough to begin creating your own.

I want to keep making work that takes me into new rooms and gives people a reason to look closer.

Being part of Weaving Connections in New York is one of those moments that makes the hours in the studio feel a little more visible. I’m proud of it. I’m also thinking about the paintings I haven’t made yet and where this work might go next.

The work continues at Studio 525 at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, Massachusetts. New York is now part of that story.

For inquiries about my paintings, studio visits, or future exhibitions, send me a message. I’d love to hear from you.
