Opening doors through the arts. 🎻✨
From Long Island classrooms to the legendary Carnegie Hall, the Fern Joan Foundation is helping to create opportunities for young people to experience the transformative power of the arts.
On October 16, students from Westbury, Hempstead, and Uniondale High Schools attended a complimentary concert featuring the extraordinary Sphinx Virtuosi, celebrating 30 years of musical excellence and impact.
More than a concert, it was an opportunity to explore the arts beyond the classroom, discover new possibilities, and experience the power of music and culture in one of the world’s most historic venues.
At the Fern Joan Foundation, we believe every young person deserves access to experiences that inspire curiosity, nurture creativity, and broaden horizons.

A heartfelt thank you to Sphinx Virtuosi and school Administrators whose support helped make this experience possible.

Exposure matters. Access matters. Every young person deserves the opportunity to be inspired.

It was our absolute pleasure to visit Cambridge High School alongside the Fern Joan Foundation, Dr. Michele Pinnock (Regional Director, Region 4, Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information), and other dedicated education stakeholders.

We had the wonderful opportunity to explore the school's impressive programmes, particularly its thriving vocational courses, including Plumbing, Auto Mechanics, Woodwork, Agricultural, and Electrical Studies.

In the spirit of our commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring every student has access to the tools they need to succeed, we were proud to present school supplies to students in need, along with MiFis to help keep them connected in today's digital world.

During our recent visit to Western Jamaica, we partnered with Courts Jamaica Limited to purchase a deep freeze refrigerator, and stove for the Catherine Hall Primary and Infant School.
Through the Fern Joan Bentley Project and with your generous support, these appliances replaced equipment damaged by Hurricane Melissa, allowing the school’s breakfast program to continue serving students each day.
Thank you to all our donors, partners, and supporters for making this possible. Your continued support helps us make a meaningful difference in the lives of some of the children we serve.

Thank you for standing with us.

We were happy to welcome the Fern Joan Foundation to Jamaica and introduce them to the Ministry of Education, Region Four, and the important work being done to support children returning to teaching and learning in the aftermath of the hurricane. We had a robust and meaningful conversation about these students' needs.

The Fern Joan Foundation has also made a generous donation to the Foundation, with funds going directly toward supporting children impacted by the hurricane.

Thanks to partners like the Fern Joan Foundation, we are helping to create a world where no one gets left behind. by @fernjoan_

In support of Hurricane Melissa relief efforts in Montego Bay Jamaica, we were honored to present a donation to the Lion’s Club of Montego Bay. As the resilient people of Jamaica often remind us, “every mickle mek a muckle” - (every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference)

Thank you to our donors
