There are so many aspects to working with Vintage. First you have to find it, then there’s endless laundry (I am a professional Laundress at this point) and stain removal. Next come the repairs and then the steaming/ironing. Also the research. Since I love working with older pieces that show the sense of the makers hand when I was ironing this Edwardian camisole I stopped in my tracks. Look at how this small hole was repaired. With a piece of tiny monogramed lace, I can only aspire to doing this. The hand work is so tiny. I actually looked at it with a magnifying glass. I have a few pieces from the same women with similar repairs.

Somehow I got a little obsessed with chain belts. Wide range of low to high end. I love that they work as a belt but make for a great necklace.
