guys i’ve been scared as hell to sing since starting T bcus i worried my voice was gonna Leave Forever so posting this is scary ( PLEASE BE KIND!!!!!) but i wanna keep myself accountable to keep singing and not just. lose this thing that makes me happy so. first trans day of visibility since i started T!
sometimes it feels really scary to choose to change my entire body and self in such a visible way, because it represents a point of no return to me. i can no longer tell myself that i can just “pretend to be cis” as a safety net if i get too scared. but i realized recently that living according to that fear, and stopping myself from being truly comfortable in my skin, “just in case”, wasn’t really living. a dear friend @rosieeeeeee.rose wrote, in a play that talked about what it is to be trans, “it doesn’t have to cost anything.” and this year, i stopped focusing on what being trans could cost me, and instead on everything i will gain. there is danger to being visibly trans. but there is also joy. there are people who hate us simply for being ourselves. but denying myself the joy of being the trans guy i am feels too much like letting those people win. i’m excited to see just how happy i will get to be, as i become more myself every day :)

6/2/25 • 15.5 years of loving you (+ the rest of my life- i’ll never stop). from the moment we first saw you, we knew you were our rusty. but all good things must come to an end, and we’re so incredibly lucky that you stuck around for so long. my sweetie baby boy angel pie old man- you were the best boy, the snuggliest and silliest bubby, the softest pillow, the funniest playmate, and my bestest friend. i don’t remember being alive without you there, and i can’t believe i have to do that now. i miss you. i love you. bye, buddy <3 by @fernmorehouse_

hoo boy we did it :,)
i’ve met some of the most incredible people and done some of the most incredible things in the last four years. so so grateful for everything that UArts gave me, and thank you to Temple for picking up where they left off when we needed it most. i feel very lucky, very happy, and very ready. the world is in front of me, and i’m excited to keep walking through it- now with a BFA in Musical Theatre!!!
