I wrote this song when I first moved to Berlin in 2023, I was woken up by the birds singing and thought, ‘life is beautiful’. I decided to write it in Portuguese (Very rusty and possibly incorrect Portuguese) as Portugal is where I grew up and feel most connected to, I wanted to intertwine my Berlin experience with Portuguese roots.

This is a rough English Translation of the lyrics: (verse 2 until 2nd chorus)

Little birds wake me up
I don’t go back to bed
Too beautiful to lose
I love life

What a beautiful life
The hour of wakefulness
When time stops

Take a walk with me
I promise good times
Hold my hand in yours
I want to feel you
I want to feel you
I want to feel you
I want to feel you

What a beautiful life
The hour of wakefulness
When time stops

Music is sort of like my journal, even in silent words, a feeling, thought or situation can be expressed. To me, this melody encompasses a state of pensiveness, which has now transformed into “Pensive” a poem by me.
