Deeply rooted in jazz, soul, and funk as a pianist, ferro_5 crafts a distinctive sonic identity, weaving intricate, shadowy, and hypnotic textures with a commanding sense of rhythm.

Subtle esoteric undertones lend an air of mystery, while each mix unfolds through a finely tuned interplay of percussive grooves and weighty, immersive basslines.

I don’t think I am experienced enough to be a good opener, but when @julianbuono asked me to do it for the 1st edition of Substrate I blindly trusted him, because he’s a visionary and he knows what he’s doing, and because he’s a soul mate. I must say I’m quite happy with the result. I’m deeply grateful for have been taking part of this at the very beginning. Big up for @koolinarium for the massive work behind the scenes! Follow @substrat.e for the next events, you can’t imagine how great this is!

Enjoy this journey as I did, swinging between dark and raw elements into extremely groovy percussions on constant hypnotic textures. Transparent like water, deep as the abyss of itself. Listen it entirely through the SC link in bio.

I’m currently working on framing a live workflow that seems to lead towards an in-the-box minimalistic environment. I honestly like the idea very much as long as it sounds good!
