POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
As @artverona 2026 draws near, I would like to invite you to pick up a copy of the new issue of @exibart no. 134, available as a free press publication at the fair throughout its opening days.

For this issue, I had the pleasure of speaking with @balbi_lorenzo, the newly appointed Director of the Civic Museums of Verona. Our conversation explored his vision for the city and its cultural landscape, with particular attention to the role of contemporary art, and to the possibilities of creating meaningful synergies within such a complex and diverse museum system.

My thanks to @balbi_lorenzo for sharing his perspectives, and my very best wishes to him for this new chapter. Thank you also to the entire @exibart team for making this conversation possible.

GINO BOGONI.

It was a pleasure to write about Carla Accardi for @exibart. One of the most influential Italian artists of the twentieth century.
Sharing here an image of one of my favorite works, Grande Trasparente (1975), in dialogue with the salt flats of Trapani, where her roots lie.
Hope you enjoy the article! by @ferroni_elisa

✨ My latest article for @exibart is now live!
Antifona - the immersive new sound work by Shezad Dawood, awarded the inaugural Colline ad Arte (@collinepatrimonioumanita) prize - lets the Prosecco Hills speak through plant bioelectricity. Developed with ethnobotanist Michal Moss and composer Teresa Winter, the piece unfolds as an immersive musical composition where plants, trees and fungi form a living, polyphonic chorus.

I spoke with Shezad and the curators behind this first edition of Colline ad Arte, exploring the process, the vision and the ideas that shaped this unique project. Our conversation opened up unexpected insights, behind-the-scenes stories and broader reflections on ecology, deep listening and alternative futures.

Huge thanks to Shezad Dawood, Sabrina Donadel and Valeria Szabó Facchin for their generosity and inspiration!

Tomorrow, July 4th, opens S.W.O.T. Plastic, a solo exhibition by artist Guillaume Krick at Redaktion in Lucerne, on view until August 9. The opening also marks the launch of issue #181 of _957 Art Magazine, featuring a critical text written by me titled ā€˜S.W.O.T. Plastic: Challenging Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of Our Time’.

The text explores how Krick’s work turns industrial debris, from oil barrels to plastic toys, into archaeological artifacts of the present, raising questions about memory, materiality, and the ecological legacy of our time.

I’m really happy to have been part of this project! 🧔 Congratulations @guillaumekrick, and thank you for inviting me to write about your work (which I’ve loved from the moment I first saw it!).

I’m pleased to share my interview with Katerina Gregos (@katerina.gregos), artistic director at EMST Athens (@emstathens), published today on @exibart. Together we discussed the strategic decisions behind the museum’s permanent collection, temporary exhibitions, and her vision for the institution’s future. We also touched on how the museum engages with pressing political and social issues, using art as a tool for reflection and dialogue in today’s world.

Many thanks to Katerina Gregos for her time and valuable insights. Her leadership and innovative approach offer shifts in thinking that we can all take inspiration from.

Hope you will enjoy the reading!

Nancy Holt’s Sun Tunnels in Utah, 1977.
šŸ“ø Scott T Smith/Getty Images

ā€˜If it’s sunny, light dapples through holes in the pipes arranged in the constellations Capricorn, Columba, Draco and Perseus – as if you were walking on stars. Twice a year, on the summer and winter solstices, the sun will align exactly with the tunnels and the light will pour through. Using the Earth and cosmos as her tools, Holt, who died in 2014, accentuates the vast beauty of the natural world by providing a vessel with which to view it’ @katy.hessel
