Family portrait season approaches and I wanted to share a few ideas for anyone searching for inspiration beyond the traditional family photo.

I have always loved photography and capturing meaningful moments with my children. I’m also lucky to have a very talented sister whose creativity, styling and direction helped bring so many ideas to life. Over the years, our portraits have been inspired by everything from Dolce & Gabbana’s A Family Affair Campaign, cinematic family style of Alain Delon to classic Americana.

But these photographs mean so much more to me now. As my boys grow and become increasingly independent, I can look back and remember the real moments we cherished together.

These aren’t simply posed photographs. They represent a life we genuinely enjoy. Gathered around the table, eating, laughing, playing instruments and exploring nature. All with a pinch of Italian soul, a touch of Americana and plenty of Brazilian spirit.

If you’re looking for ideas outside of the traditional family portrait, I hope these images inspire you to recreate a moment that feels authentically yours. Something that captures not only how your family looked, but how it felt to be together.
