Presents

The Electronic Buffet

*Juneteenth Edition*

Resurrected once again, with a new home @publicworksgallery

Fresh from RADIUS ' "Alive & Thriving" Album release party in March, presenting a new season of local monthly talent + guests; showcasing a wide range of styles, experiences and music production gear, via a format removing the headliner aesthetic, thus bringing forth a rotating producer cypher, throughout the night.

The Electronic Buffet was established in the early 2000s by Moment Sound, a collective + label founded by Lokua @lokua , Garo @gman3101, & Slava @s_lava , whom RADIUS, frequently collaborated and performed within.

The night promises to showcase vibrant diversity within the Electronic music scene, that can be often overlooked & misrepresented, especially in relation to Chicago.

Final Call for Spring 2026 enrollment at @undergroundmusicacademy

This spring I’ll be leading our Respect The Architect course, a six-week exploration of the mindset, history, and creative discipline behind electronic music.

The course examines how lasting work is built, not just through technique, but through context, intention, and understanding of the culture it comes from.

Rather than focusing on production steps or tools, this course centers on listening, perspective, and lineage. You develop a deeper awareness of the foundational sounds, movements, and ideas that have shaped electronic music, and how they continue to influence what is being created today.

I hope to see you in class!

This weekend’s collaboration with @ableton Workshop with @fessgrandiose and @kamaubaaqi_ tapped into what makes both Ableton and UMA unique…. flexibility, experimentation, and learning by doing. Participants explored workflow and creative expression in a way that felt open ended and personal, reflecting the same approach UMA brings to music education.

On Monday, May 18th we open registration for Online Spring 2026 courses. We also will be hosting 9 free workshops during our annual Pop Up Shop on Memorial Weekend starting Thursday, May 23rd. Sign up for our community list for info and priority registration. Photos by @therealjimel by @fessgrandiose
