Summer hols are over! Lots of moving in nature, family time, pals time, cooking, reading and generally topping myself up ready for a busy winter with @quayscultureuk . So many exciting plans for Lightwaves and time to dig deep into the @weinventedtheweekend outcomes and impact. September, I'm ready for ya! by @festivalkate

It take a village to make @weinventedtheweekend - here are just a few of the absolute heroes who pulled together to make this year's show. WITW is labour of love that wouldn't be possible without our partners, founders, funders and beautiful artists and creators who show us what they do. Thanks to all and to Salford, we are proud to serve you! by @festivalkate

Rounded off the summer with a trip to Paris. It's been a big one! @weinventedtheweekend finally happened, though shamefully didn't make it to my grid. What can I say? I had a lot on! Dan Flavin at the Pompidou left me feeling inspired and excited for Lighwaves. Ready for autumn, darker nights and celebrating our primal response to LIGHT. taken in Centre Pompidou by @festivalkate

Perfect weather for the festival that didn't happen (yet). We had glimpses of how special it could have been. The Weekend Orchestra topped us all up - what a joy. Huge thanks to @bbcphilharmonic, @rioghnachconnolly, @toomanydots and the army of amateur players and singers for filling our hearts.

Spent a few days remote working in #Derry - if you're looking for a hot desk in the city head to @theampgrowthincubator . Excellent setting, excellent set up. There was even a derig underway on the square outside, I felt right at home among the heras. by @festivalkate

Smashing weekend at @bluedotfestival. Enjoyed Henge in some classic festival weather, met an astronaut, admired the decor, marvelled at the telescope, got a very brief glimpse of life as an Arctic explorer - and more! Excellent. Great job by the @engineno4 team, as always. by @festivalkate
