It’s a perfect day for a shot at love with Espresso ☕️💘

This six-year old Shepherd mix has been waiting three long years for a home of his own. Fostering for three years is no small thing. It takes patience, compassion, commitment, and a whole lot of love. Espresso’s foster family has given him all of that and more, and they deserve so much appreciation for standing by him throughout this journey. And his foster siblings? They have been a significant part of his world and provided essential companionship.

Dumped and tied up at an airport in Southern IL, these boys ended up at animal control. 💔 Now they’re SAFE with us at our rescue center!

Nanna came to Fetching Tails in February as a stray from Texas, and she hasn’t secured a foster home during these last nine months. We will admit, she has some quirks making it a bit more difficult for placement. BUT we know the right foster or forever home is out there for her.

A home for Nanna to thrive would include:
☑️ No female dogs or any cats
☑️ Older children (preferred)
☑️ Experience with working breeds
☑️ Plenty of opportunities for enrichment and exercise

We love a good adoption and volunteer story 💚

“Very exciting two days for Elliot and I!
One year ago today I met him at fetching during my very first volunteering shift and had taken the first video to send to my friends after our first walk together. A week later I was fostering him, and though it took me awhile to realize just how true it was that I was going to adopt him, we did eventually get there. We are also celebrating his second birthday already tomorrow! I am so lucky to have met Elliot, and to get to be his mom. Thank you to Fetching for taking him in, and for being a perfect place to volunteer at! 8-week old Serenity makes her adoption event debut TOMORROW! After being found all alone on the side of highway, she is ready for a beautiful new chapter.

Hungry anyone?! 👀🍽️

Because we’re pretty sure Milka is being completely overlooked and honestly… WE DON’T GET IT.

This sweet girl has grown up in foster care ALL SUMMER and somehow she’s still waiting. ZERO interest lately. ZERO applications lately.

Like… excuse us?! HOW?! Milka is sweet, loving, playful, and ready for someone to finally choose her. She’s done her time waiting — now she just needs her person to see what we see.

A cry in a flower bed changed everything. 💔

On the 17th, a couple in Pontotoc, MS heard crying and found Rosie, an emaciated stray mom, with 11 newborn puppies. She was so weak they thought she was dying.

They called the local shelter, got Rosie to a vet, and took the family inside for the night. The next day, they drove down to bring them to the shelter.

They were just 1 day old when they arrived.

Sadly, the tiny white runt passed away that first night. 💔 Rosie had given everything she had to keep her babies fed.

FTF only had room for 4 of the remaining 10, but thankfully the other 6 found rescue once they were weaned and mom went to a foster home!

One mom. Eleven babies. One tiny flower bed. And a whole lot of people who refused to let them be alone. ❤️

We’re in need of puppy food! We added some new items to our Amazon & Chewy wishlists for the abundance of dogs we have been taking in. Link in BIO
