My first client was me. 🫶🏼

4 months of showing up for myself, learning about my body and finally finding a way to stay consistent.

But this transformation is about so much more than how my body looks.

For a long time, I struggled with consistency. I’d have weeks where I felt motivated, strong and on top of everything, followed by weeks where even the simplest things felt impossible.

I couldn’t understand why I found it so hard to stick to a routine.

After recently being diagnosed with PMDD, so many things finally started to make sense. The patterns, the symptoms, the constant ups and downs.

I realised that I didn’t need to push harder. I needed to learn how to work WITH my body, not against it. 🤍

Alongside completing my Level 3 Personal Training course, I’ve spent a lot of time learning about women’s health, understanding my own symptoms and recognising what my body needs at different times.

And it’s completely changed my approach to fitness.

Instead of expecting myself to train and eat perfectly every single day, I’ve learnt to adapt, be flexible and focus on what I CAN do.

And for the first time, I’ve been able to build consistency and see progress without constantly feeling like I’m starting over.

That’s where the FLEX Method was born. 💗

Flexible Health Consistency.

An approach to fitness built around flexibility, understanding your body and creating habits that work with your life, not against it.

These 4 months have taught me that consistency doesn’t have to mean doing the same thing every day. Sometimes it means adapting, slowing down and showing up differently.

Now I want to help other women find an approach that works for them too.

Whether you’re living with PMDD or struggling to stay consistent because of your cycle or other women’s health challenges, I want you to know that fitness doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

You can make progress without fighting against your body. 🫶🏼

This photo was taken just last week, and it’s so interesting how differently I see myself now compared to when I took it.

At the time, I genuinely felt fat and believed I was. I posted it on my story to document my progress, but looking at it now, I realise how differently I was perceiving myself.

For the past five years or so, I think I’ve been in denial about the possibility of having body dysmorphia. Friends and partners have mentioned it to me before, but I always brushed it off.

Recently, through learning about PMDD and going on this journey of self-discovery and self-compassion, I’ve started connecting the dots and becoming more aware of my relationship with my body.

It’s made me realise how easily our perception of ourselves can influence how we feel about our bodies, even when that perception doesn’t necessarily reflect what we’re seeing.

As someone who values fitness and documenting my progress, I think it’s important to recognise that our relationship with our bodies matters just as much as the physical changes we work towards.

I’m finding this whole journey so fascinating because I’m learning that self-compassion starts with self-awareness, questioning the beliefs we hold about ourselves, and accepting the things we may have previously brushed off. 🤍 by @ffioncoaching

How many times have you told yourself...

💭 “I’ll start next Monday.”
💭 “I’ll start when life is less busy.”
💭 “I’ll start when I feel more confident.”

Sound familiar? 💕

Here’s your reminder... there’s no perfect time to start your fitness journey! 💪✨

You don’t need to change everything overnight. Small steps count too!

✨ Go for a short walk.
✨ Book that first gym session.
✨ Try an exercise you’ve been nervous about.
✨ Set one small, achievable goal.
✨ Make time for YOU.

And if you’re living with PMDD or navigating changes in your mood and energy, remember that progress looks different every day. 🌸

Some days it’s showing up for a workout, other days it’s resting and listening to your body. Both are okay! 💕

You don’t need a perfect routine. Just start where YOU are and build habits that work for your body and lifestyle.

💬 What’s one small step you could take this week?

Want to get stronger? Don't forget to fuel your body! 🥑💪💕

Strength training isn't just about lifting weights and showing up for workouts. Giving your body enough energy and nourishment is just as important! 🌸

Here's why fuelling your body matters:

💕 Energy – Food fuels your workouts and everyday activities.

🌸 Recovery – Your body needs nutrients to repair and build muscle.

💕 Balance – Carbs provide energy, protein supports muscle growth and fats support overall health.

🌸 Rest days matter – You don't need to earn your food through exercise!

💕 Keep it simple – Regular, satisfying meals and staying hydrated make a difference.

And remember, eating well doesn't mean eating perfectly! 💗

If you're living with PMDD, changes in appetite and energy throughout your cycle can make things feel different from week to week. Be kind to yourself and remember your body deserves nourishment every day. 🌸

Fitness should be about building strength, confidence and healthy, sustainable habits, not restriction! 💪✨

Strength training places demands on your body.
Food provides the energy needed for exercise, everyday activities and normal bodily functions.
Regularly eating too little can make training feel harder and affect your ability to recover.
Fuelling yourself is part of supporting your fitness goals. 💕

Strength training challenges your muscles.
Your body uses energy and nutrients to repair and adapt after exercise.
Protein contributes to muscle repair and growth, while carbohydrates help replenish energy stores.
Recovery isn’t only about rest days - eating enough matters too. 🌸

DAY 91/365 ✅

#dreamlife #manifesting #visionboard by @ffioncoaching

Let’s be real... you’re not going to feel motivated to exercise, eat well or hit the gym every day. And that’s completely normal! 💕

Motivation comes and goes, but building small, realistic habits is what helps you stay consistent! 💪

✨ Find a workout routine that fits YOUR lifestyle.

✨ Plan your workouts ahead of time.

✨ Set small, achievable goals.

✨ Choose movement you actually enjoy.

✨ Be flexible when life gets busy or your energy changes.

If you’re living with PMDD or navigating hormonal changes, remember that some weeks will feel easier than others. 🌸

Consistency doesn’t mean doing the same thing every day.

Some days it’s smashing a gym session, other days it’s a gentle walk or taking a well-deserved rest day. 💕

Progress isn’t about being perfect. It’s about creating habits that support YOU, your body and your lifestyle. 💪✨

5 signs your body might need more rest. 🧘‍♀️💕

When it comes to fitness, more isn’t always better! Rest and recovery are just as important as your workouts. 💪

Here are 5 signs it might be time to slow down:

🌸 1. You’re constantly tired – Even after a good night’s sleep.

💕 2. Your workouts feel harder – Sessions that usually feel manageable are becoming a struggle.

🌷 3. You’re not recovering well – Muscle soreness is lingering longer than usual.

🧘‍♀️ 4. You’re mentally overwhelmed – Stress and emotional exhaustion matter too.

💗 5. You feel guilty resting – Remember, rest isn’t something you need to earn!

For women with PMDD, fatigue, sleep difficulties and emotional symptoms can make recovery especially important at certain times of the month. 🌸

Whether you have PMDD or not, listening to your body is part of building a sustainable fitness routine. 💕

You can work towards your goals AND give yourself permission to rest. ✨

💬 Which sign do you tend to ignore?

Everyone feels tired sometimes.
But if you’re regularly feeling drained, struggling to get through the day or finding your usual activities unusually exhausting, it may be worth looking at your rest and recovery.
Rest is important, but ongoing fatigue can have other causes too.
If it’s persistent or unexplained, speak to your GP.

Are weights you normally manage feeling unusually heavy?
Are you struggling to complete sessions that usually feel manageable?
A difficult workout doesn’t automatically mean you need more rest, but repeated dips in performance can be a reason to review your training load and recovery.
Progress doesn’t come from pushing harder every single session. 💪

Some muscle soreness after unfamiliar or challenging exercise can be normal.

Ever found yourself thinking, “I haven’t got enough time for a proper workout, so what’s the point?” 💭

We’ve all been there! 💕

But here’s your reminder that your workout doesn’t have to be an hour long to be worthwhile!

Life gets busy, energy levels fluctuate, and sometimes fitting exercise into your day can feel like another thing on an already endless to-do list.

But movement doesn’t have to be all or nothing! 🌸

✨ 30 minutes in the gym? Amazing!

✨ A quick home workout between commitments? Brilliant!

✨ A gentle walk to get some fresh air? That counts too!

✨ A little stretching or mobility work? Still worthwhile!

And if you’re living with PMDD, navigating hormonal changes or simply having a difficult week, it’s important to remember that your energy and capabilities might look different from one day to the next.

Some days, 30 minutes of exercise might feel manageable. Other days, 10 minutes of gentle movement might be enough. And sometimes, rest is exactly what your body needs. 💕

Progress isn’t about doing the most. It’s about finding what works for YOU and your lifestyle. 💪

You don’t need hours in the gym, a perfect routine or endless motivation to start building healthier habits.

Small, manageable steps can make a big difference over time.

So this week, instead of focusing on what you can’t fit in, think about what you can do.

And remember, something is often better than nothing, but rest is never a failure! 🌸
