Didn’t want to post this till it was collected as it was a commission for a birthday present. I’ve no idea really who look at this shiz but didn’t want to accidentally spoil a surprise.
Finally made my first dabble into multi layer printing, even though the actual art is still super basic. I did not get this right first time and the recycling bin got well used, but eventually it sort of worked out pretty sweet.
I squished in a load of stuff to make this more meaningful but it’s generally a mish mash of hope cove and malborough, on a shape that I tweaked from an early 90’s @ericdressen everslick.

Just over the halfway line on this little beauty. Large cladding is sawn and heading down from @woodmanship_sawmills. Curved tin is in production @tinmansteels. The floor boards are gonna magically appear this weekend from storage not too far away, and then once Kieran has thrown a few wires in I’ll pin every last surface inside with T&G from @thesoutherntimbercoltd.

I’ve got one week to get all that done and dusted if this is gonna stay on budget.

Spent a lovely few Saturday afternoon hours @outside_devon yesterday for a pootle in the bowl then some ear splitting sounds from @the_spitters_band from Montpellier. Supported by the brilliant 3 piece @disgracelandpunk (from right here in south Devon). High energy turned up to 11…#punk#livemusic#smallvenues#devon by @fftimberworking

What a bloody ace day that was. We had a mega crew on the trowels today, maybe the biggest crew yet I think. Had the usual concrete related struggles for a while, but then things got going and we scrubbed that shiz till our arms were fully done in. There are some crazy shapes appearing now and it’s feeling more real for sure.
This Devon village and @shenanigoons.diy you are bloody amazing for supporting this project. I wish it could be repeated all over the place by loads of other communities. I suspect it’ll be a rare thing, but this is proof that it can be done.

Things have moved on quite a bit since I took these but that’s the delay you get using film and having a busy life.
Doug @shenanigoons.diy has been in command of this one with a couple other lads. I’ve only been rockin up for concrete days (which have been all sorts of fun) and this beauty is now creeping closer and closer towards the finish line.

These shots were taken a few weeks back with my old Pentax K1000 and a cheap fisheye off eBay. I think the colours of Kodak Gold are sick and make everything feel like a warm childhood memory, but I also took a few stepped back with a longer lens to show the array of stuff everyone brought with them on the day. Thanks to @churchell for bein the super consistent subject, @hubbacouture for her knowledge and also to @sharphoto who was on hand with his pro skills and equipment.
My favourite one is where Leo’s flash is blowing right at me. It’s obviously not how you’d want it normally, but I’m buzzin that he took his shot at the same moment I took mine. Feels like a win to me, and if that flash was actually properly behind Marks body it would have looked epic I reckon.

Massive thanks to everyone that perused my little pop up sort-of-skate-shop through August.
Most of the time I wasn’t even around coz I’ve been busy with jobs and family life, but the honesty box did a good job and it’s meant that from that little experiment I can now send £80 to @thebenraemersfoundation to help them just a tiny bit with what they do. It’ll at least buy a few packets of biscuits to keep them powered up through the winter months, while they support the mental well being of all us wonky people.
Before I send that over though, I’ll be taking a mini stand to Ashburton skatepark this coming Saturday (12th).

20% of anything sold that day will get added to that £80.

I’ve also got a whole bunch of tees bundled up, and one of them could hit you in the head lovingly if you do something suitably sick enough. Lucky winners all get to wear a print of my savage little dog Ash.

No complies and hand plants score high….

Even in the damp things are starting to look pretty cool at this place.
I think I’ve been working on this one on and off for about 300 years now so it’s got every reason to be fairly close to finished, but somehow it still keeps trickling on.

Gonna have a mini stand at this gig which is comin up fairly soon.
It’s a nice little park is Ashburton and i reckon it’ll be a fun day out if your able to make it.
Will also be lobbing a few tees about the place with my latest print on of my dog (Ash the destroyer…).

Quickish re-shape of one from the rack for @albertrigby07 this morning. Had a bit of a twist in it too which I felt obliged to unwind with the heat gun.
The boy had taken a shine to the one I made a couple of weeks back for our pal Doug, so I took it a step further with a bit of inspiration from @deathbreathskateboards down under who’s been doin a few rad ones in this type of style lately.
It’s a lot of work (the way I do it anyway), so I won’t be churning these out unless I get a bit more clever about it.
