Activists protested outside of @lidlgb Eurocentral in Scotland demanding that Lidl International stops suffocating shrimp to death and stops cutting the eyes off mother shrimp in their supply chain.

This comes after a week of protests against Lidl International in Dublin, Hamburg and Budapest—and previous protests outside Lidl’s head office in London, Germany, and the Schwarz Group head office.

This campaign has only just begun and comes off the back of previous wins against thirteen other major retailers—as well as a recent commitment from ALDI Nord and Sud to fulfil these demands.

These protests will continue until Lidl commit to no longer suffocating or cutting off the eyes of shrimp in their supply chain.

🍀🤍🦐 First Shrimp Protest in Ireland! 🍀🤍🦐

Activists showed up outside the @lidlireland head office in Dublin to demand they implement policies to no longer suffocate shrimp to death or cut the eyes of shrimp in their supply chain!

“Kenneth McGrath, the CEO of Lidl International, started his career as the regional manager of Lidl Ireland and he has the ability to bring an end to these protests and the torture of billions of animals each year.”
— A local protester from Dublin said.

A policy that has already been agreed to by @lidlgb but we want to see copy-pasted to every Lidl Nation. The protests will continue, all across Europe, until Lidl make changes that will affect time lives of billions of Shrimp in their supply chain.

Between the 18-27th of August I will be travelling across Europe organising my first multi country activism tour. I will be travelling to Dublin, Hamburg, Budapest and Glasgow—and we will be doing Fur Free, Cage Free, and Shrimp Welfare activism events as we go!

This is the biggest project I have ever taken on, was tricky to plan, and cost me quite a bit more than my usual projects—but I would have never become the activist I am without people coming into my city and showing me how to do it, seeing activists doing large projects that inspired me, or having the organises I respected ask me to do a project for them.

So I am trying to see if I can be that for other people.

Activists returned once again to @netaporter @yoox and @mrporter in the @westfieldlondon after being assaulted by staff on our previous protest.

All of these are subsidiary companies of LuxExperience and connected to @krogerco through their shared board member Nora Aufreiter.

We will continue to disrupt and protest all businesses connected to Kroger until they make good on the cage free commitments they made ten years ago.

The protests will continue until Kroger goes Cage Free.

As part of our convergence Activists also visited the @marriottintl foreign representatives office in London. Our Instagram comments section seemed very concerned about our choice of targets—but I am sure they’re happy to know we also targeted white collar office workers at Marriotts corporate office too.

This is the fourth time we have visited this office—and protests will continue until @marriottintl makes good on their cage free commitments.

Activists visit @bcginuk at their London Office to protest their connection to @krogerco and the 20 million hens trapped in tiny cages.

Locals came out in droves as activists marched around the entire building, causing Boston Consulting Group to lock down both doors, and covered the whole block in chalk messages that highlighted Amanda Sourry’s complicity in this horrific abuse of birds.

After half an hour a local street cleaner was called to spray away the chalk—and once he left we chalked all over again.

Boston Consulting Group, Kroger, Amanda Sourry—these protests will continue until we get a cage free policy or you cut ties with Kroger.

Activists disrupt Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, who wholly own @cadillac_fairview, to demand that they cut ties with Nora Aufreiter and @krogerco

Activists passed through the open barriers, and wandered around maintenance corridors looking for a manager to speak to, before politely leaving once a row of hand holding employees asked them to.

This is part of a global campaign against Kroger to make good on the cage free commitments they made ten years ago! Protests will continue until these commitments are upheld!

Activists disrupt the @sheratonparklane hotel as part of the @marriottintl campaign to get them to make good on their cage free commitments that they made ten years ago!

This hotel has been protested now multiple times and has previously been very violent towards activists—but we’re glad they’ve finally stopped assaulting us everytime we show up. Perhaps this is an indication that this hotel understands this campaign will continue regardless of how violent they are.

The protests will continue until Marriott makes good on their cage free commitments.

Activists disrupt The London EDITION Hotel as part of the campaign to get @marriottintl to make good on their failed cage free commitments.

This was the first time this hotel has been protested and hotel staff once again had mixed reactions. Restaurant staff smashed a megaphone and dragged an activist out whilst other activists were politely escorted to the doorway.

After fifteen minutes of protesting outside a security guard became frustrated, stole a sign, and then pushed and grabbed an activist by the hair as she attempted to retrieve her property from him.

These protests are happening all across London, and all across the world. On every continent in except Antarctica there have been protests of Marriott Hotels and the protests will continue until Marriott go cage free as was promised.

🏳️‍⚧️ DEFTRANS DOES LONDON TRANS+ PRIDE 🏳️‍⚧️

This weekend we showed up with a banner, 20+ megaphones, and 10k stickers! We handed both out to anyone wishing to use them and met so many wonderful members of our community in doing so.

@londontranspride is a very important day for people to see the scale of support in our country for trans people—but it is just a single of the year. If we wish to create real political change we need our community and our allies to advocate for our rights throughout the whole year in whatever way we can.

We would love to see some of our new friends we made showing up to our @defundtransphobes chalking and talking events throughout the year and hopefully when we show up next year the DefTrans block can be even bigger, better, and louder than it was this year.
