Prayer is a conversation with God and through that God reveals. For all the builders, creatives, over-thinkers etc the steps don’t come when we are trying to be perfect, it comes when we let go of falsity and we allow the truth to lead. That truth is God.

Side note: even as I was editing this I had to combat the “it’s not good enough” and “this could be better” but the truth is..it could be better, look better, worded better, but that’s not what this video is about. It’s about as a believer your identity is in Christ not fear, anxiety, etc. Also, it’s about willing to try, and take that first step and you will continually land where you are supposed to be. So don’t worry, take that first step, and let God do the rest. by @fi.onagraphs

TESTIMONY: Before Jesus, I struggled with fear, anxiety, unbelief, escapism, addiction to p0rnography and masturbxtion, pride (self sufficiency; rarely asking for help), depressed feelings, and placing my worth in career and accomplishments and wanting to be recognized and seen for it.

Then Jesus in 2020 or 2021, created a space of intimacy with Him to talk about the validity, questions, doubts of Jesus. (Book of Habakkuk) He taught me that I no longer had to SAVE myself from irrational fears and anxiety about death, failure, success, and being perceived vulnerably. (2 Timothy 1:7). I don’t have to look to myself and my body for pleasure, but I can find true intimacy and delight in the Lord. I don’t have to be plagued by analysis paralysis where my mind thought of so many outcomes, ideas, dreams that I couldn’t choose and I felt stuck. Maladaptive daydreaming (daydreaming for hours) began because I was trying to escape the dissatisfaction of 0 choices and “my life is not where I want it to be” so I retreated to my mind to create a “better” reality. I retreated to my mind for protection from the negative thoughts in my mind, and I became very mentally exhausted. I realized that there is no better reality, than the reality God has placed me in. He taught me how to be thankful in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Additionally, my career and accomplishments do not equate to anyone’s worth because Jesus died for that too. To feel like I need perform for anyone’s approval; to ceaselessly strive and chase for belonging while compromising so I can feel worthy or enough is a LIE. (1 John 2:16)

In 2023, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. It is very difficult, but what I went through above prepared me for it. God is changing me even though my circumstance has not changed, and I feel a great peace.

Since Jesus, the things above are not my identity. I face temptation, nervousness, and a negative thought pattern may arise but I combat it with God’s truth and Word. I am approximately 3-4 yrs p0rn free, 5 months masturbxtion free. I live faithfully to God not because of my ability to do or what he can do for me but because I believe who He says He is.❤️ taken in 2024 by @fi.onagraphs

Very thankful to God that I was able to celebrate my impromptu birthday filled with so much love, joy, laughter, cute arguments😂, and overall a safe space to be open. It’s been a tough couple years, but God continues to remind me joy is available in the present and I shall delight in it with community.💗 by @fi.onagraphs
