Take a second.

Not to scroll.
Not to compare.
Just… sit where you are and feel it.

The breeze.
The quiet.
Your life.

Because one day, what you have right now… is exactly what you once worked for.

This isn’t some big, flashy life.
It’s not a mansion.
There’s no ocean view.

But it’s mine.

In a coastal town I love.
A home that feels peaceful the second I walk into it.

And lately I’ve caught myself just sitting here… actually taking it in.

I’m happy.

Not in a loud, over-the-top way.
Just a deep, settled kind of happy.

I’ve got a man who is my rock, my safe place, the one who brings me peace, clarity and a calm I didn’t even know I needed.
A daughter who is so loved, by both of her parents, no matter what life looks like.
A home that feels like mine.
And a career that doesn’t feel like work anymore.

I don’t wake up wishing I was somewhere else.

I wake up here… and I’m grateful.

It took a lot to get to this point.
A lot of figuring things out, starting again, pushing through things I didn’t think I could, and a lot of hard work and sacrifice.

But this moment right here?

It’s why.

So if you’re reading this…
this is your reminder.

Stop for a second.

Look around.
Feel the breeze.
Take it in.

You’ve come further than you think; and if you haven’t got this feeling yet… keep going. It’s coming.

And to the people who told me I work too much, do too much, and I’m going to burn out…

November is a big month for the men in our lives. It’s a time where we focus on men’s health, equal treatment for men and boys, and the role they play in guiding the next generation. It all leads into International Children’s Day and International Men’s Day - two days that highlight the bond between men and the kids who look up to them.

Women’s Day is celebrated loudly every year, and our men deserve that same energy. Today is a chance to recognise their strength, patience, and protection, and the balance they bring to our world.

It’s also a moment to show them how much we value them - from the quiet support they give to the way they lift us up. I’m especially grateful for my man, for everything he does and the way he helps me grow into a better version of myself.

Here’s to the men who lead with heart. Happy International Men’s Day. 💙🌊
