We are still buzzing with joy after an incredible inclusive ballet masterclass led by the amazing Steven McRae, Royal Ballet Principal and author of Anything is Possible with Ballet 🩰💫

@stevenmcrae_ brought pure magic to Skylarks, filling the room with creativity, movement, music, and so many smiles. Our children and young people with additional needs were truly inspired, and the sense of confidence, pride, and possibility was felt by everyone 🧡

A huge thank you, Steven, for your time, energy, and kindness. Your message that anything is possible shone through every moment.

We’re also grateful to our wonderful Skylarks Ambassadors for supporting the day, to Fiona Button (@fibutts) for beautifully capturing the experience on film, and to Michael Howell (@micheaelhowell_official) for the enchanting live piano accompaniment that made the masterclasses even more special 🎶 🎹

We'd also like to thank Cassie Yates who so beautifully guided each of the classes with Steven and of course, @magiccatpublishing for so generously donating the 'Anything is Possible with Ballet' book 📖 to every Skylarks dancer, personally signed by Steven on the day as a wonderful keepsake of this special event 🧡

Skylarks is hosting an inclusive ballet ‘mini’ masterclass experience led by the incredible Steven McRae - Royal Ballet Principal and author of Anything is Possible with Ballet. 💫

Late-night Googling for answers we regret reading - we’ve been there.

For @fibutts, she describes the acceleration of her health anxiety once she became a mum. While she’d experienced it in the past - it became overwhelming during pregnancy and in the lonely moments of motherhood, as she found herself stuck in a cycle of searching for answers that only fueled her fears.

With support from loved ones, Fiona recognised she needed help and returned to therapy, beginning the journey to manage her anxiety.
