Two week long road trip for my daughter’s dance competitions and somehow BOTH kids managed to be sick for the ENTIRE time. Because apparently we can’t just have a normal family holiday. 🫠
Then for the cherry on top, the day after we got home, my two year old ended up in hospital with Influenza A and viral tonsillitis. 🥲

Safe to say I’m officially becoming a houseplant for the foreseeable future..

BUT at least I came home to some AMAZING book mail, honestly it's like the universe telling me to stay home and read? ..... im listening 📚

Can't thank @macmillanaus enough for these early copies!!! Still can't believe this is my life 🥹

Succubus @katefoxwritesbooks

Her touch kills, his saves the dying.
Are they fated, or forbidden?

Tempest Dunlap loves romance novels, but she knows she’ll never have her own happily-ever-after. She is a sweatpants-wearing doula who homeschools her seven-year-old niece in suburban New Jersey. Unfortunately, she’s also a succubus: Every man she’s ever kissed has died. But Tempest is a good person who never intended to be a murderer, so she’s sworn off love forever.

Then she meets Joel Tav, a gorgeous, gentle doctor who makes celibacy feel impossible. Tempest knows she can’t touch him—or tell him his brother was the last man she dated and accidentally killed.

Meanwhile, a vigilante is hunting people with dark powers, and Tempest is next. Should she keep hiding in her safe, lonely life, or should she embrace the darkness she fears and risk the ultimate forbidden love?

Maybe Tempest will get her love story after all . . . or maybe she’ll become its villain.

The Tarot Trials @katee_robert

The deck has always been stacked against her.

Kestrel has trained her whole life to compete in the Tarot Trials. Her mother won once, earning a place among the five ruling Cinque—then paid for it with her life, executed for alleged treason against the Minor Court.

But fortune favors the bold.

Now it falls to Kestrel to take up her mother’s mantle as Champion of the Moon, enter the Trials, and face her fate. If she can master her new powers of shadow and illusion, navigate the poisonous taken in BOOKSTA by @fictional.flings

I think this is my favourite @tierney.reads so far! 😭❤️

Summer was such a relatable character, and I found myself connecting with her in so many ways. Her story had me emotional and watching her and Chase find their way through everything had my heart squeezing!!

Also moment for CHASE. Can we please talk about this man?! 🥹 The ultimate book boyfriend but not just the fictional kind you swoon over. He’s the kind of man you genuinely want in real life. The way he loves Summer? EXCUSE ME. The standards are now in the atmosphere and I fear nobody is meeting them.

Tierney, you have outdone yourself with this one because I absolutely adored these two and their story! 🖤

Never Been Tamed by @corinnemichaels

ALC Review 🎧
11hrs 13mins
Narrated in duet by @jasonclarkereads
And @desireeketchum

You know what I never tire from?? ONE BED. And fake dating? Chefs kiss. I genuinely don't think there’s a day in my life where I don’t want this combo 😂

I really enjoyed this one! Harper and Ares were so much fun and I loved watching their relationship slowly turn into something a little more!
And Ares… yeah. The broody older doctor thing was working for me VERY well 👌

I had the ALC for this one and honestly loved listening to it! The narration made the banter and chemistry even better and I was reaching for my headphones every chance I got!

Such a fun small-town romance and an easy read that I flew through 🤎

ALC Review 🎧

The Spare by @elodiehartromance
10hrs15mins

Narrated in Duet by @shaneeastreads
& @zara_hamptonbrown
(SO YOU KNOW ITS PHENOMENAL)

Marrying your brother’s fiancée was EXACTLY the type of drama I needed. 👀

Benedict and Selena had me hooked and the whole groom swap situation was deliciously messy.

And the audiobook? Absolutely WILD. 😂 I was fully seated for it. The narration took things to another level and I was very much there for every second.

Elodie Hart, you’ve done it again. 🖤

Huge thank you to @mustloveaudio for forever producing the absolute gooooods!!

🌟 COVER REVEAL 🌟

Let's kick off spooky season with some vampire romance! It's cover reveal day for 𝑺𝑶𝑼𝑳𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑻, the second book in Amy J. Elliott's Wandering Point paranormal romance series! Soulless Hart releases January 26 and will be available on KU, Audible Plus, and in paperback. But if you need a ghostly second chance romance while you wait, book 1, 𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑻 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑺𝑶𝑼𝑳𝑺, is available now. Follow @amyjelliott_author so you don't miss out on ARC and ALC info, character art, and more!

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵. 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲.

The zombie apocalypse might be starting, but there is a cure, and it lies in ancient blood. Sloane Hart, a Navigator—one of a long lineage of women who can commune with the dead—now has a personal stake in the matter: saving the sister she never knew she had. That means finding the one creature that can solve everything: the oldest living vampire.

To get to him, she needs Dr. Alex Reilly, a century-old vampire living in self-imposed exile. Alex would shuffle off this mortal coil if he could, but turns out being the “son” of the oldest living vampire means he’s pretty much immune to death…until he meets Sloane Hart, who might just be the beginning of his long-awaited end.

Their arrangement is simple: fake a sire bond to get Alex back into the good graces of his vampire coven and gain an audience with the vampire whose blood can cure zombieism. What Sloane doesn't know is that while Alex promises to hold up his end of the bargain, he doesn't plan on surviving it.

What neither expects is a soul-deep connection that transcends the boundaries of life and death itself. For the first time in a century, Alex finds a reason to exist. But by the time he realizes it, the path of destruction he sets in motion may already be impossible to escape. And Sloane, who was willing to sacrifice anything to save her sister, now faces the one thing she never prepared for: a world where saving everyone she loves might not be possible, where she'll have to choose who she's willing to lose. by @fictional.flings

About a month ago, I was having what was probably the most horrible week I've had in years and two of my favourite people sent me these two babies to cheer me up. 🥹

It’s moments like that that make you appreciate the people you have in your corner. The ones who know when to check in and when to just let you be quiet. The ones who support you from a distance, never make you feel like you have to explain yourself snd accept you exactly as you are.
You don’t always need someone to fix things or have the right words. Sometimes just knowing someone is there is enough.

So, a little belated appreciation post for two of the people who remind me that I’m very lucky to have the people I do. 🤍

And yes, they know me well enough to know that books are always a sure way to cheer me up 📚

Literally cant wait to read these 👏 by @fictional.flings

🏎️ F1 romance + one night stand + accidental pregnancy + forbidden romance + RIVAL TEAMS?!
SIGN ME UP.

Crash Into You by @simonesoltani

Ava and Zaid were such a fun couple. Their chemistry was there from the start but I loved watching their one-night stand turn into something neither of them was prepared for.

Zaid absolutely stole the show for me. There’s just something about a man who looks like he has his shit together but is secretly carrying SO much underneath the surface. I eat that shit up every time.
I also really loved Ava. She knew what she wanted and never lost herself just because Zaid came along. Watching them figure out what they wanted individually and together made their HEA so satisfying.

Also the F1 setting? ....I don’t even watch F1 😂 but apparently sprinkle in some romance and I’m SOLD.

Anywho now I’m off to read books 1 and 2 because clearly I’ve been missing out 👏

Crash Into You is available now!!
Huge thank you to @macmillanaus for this early copy 🙏

WHY DID I TAKE SO LONG TO READ THIS DUO?! I AM OBSESSED 😭

Also before i start… EXCUSE ME, I'VE NEVER LOVED THE WRONG MMC. Sable, WTF 😅😂 I genuinely thought I knew who I was going to be obsessed with and then you went.... ahhh about that? absolutely not.

Meryn gets thrown into the Bonding Trials where she’s basically surrounded by direwolves, dangerous men, secrets and enough tension to keep me turning pages way past my bedtime. There’s a whole lot of “who the hell can I trust?”, some seriously questionable decisions and a romance that had me changing my mind approximately 47 times.

I loved the twists, the slow burn and all the little moments that had me completely invested. The stakes, the tension, the secrets and THEN finally getting Stark’s POV in Furybound?! 👀
I loved getting more of the story through his eyes and watching everything start to unfold. By this point I was completely invested in these characters and basically just along for the ride, trying not to get attached cause now I know Sable just KILLS OFF my fave characters 😭

Also the direwolves? OBSESSED. Give me giant wolves, fantasy, danger and a slow-burn romance and apparently I will happily sacrifice my sanity.

All I'm gonna say is if you're starting Direbound MAKE SURE you have Furybound on hand but then be prepped for yet ANOTHER brutal cliffhanger!! RUDE but also you literary wizard, absolute genius 😂

HOLD ON FOLKS I AM OFFICIALLY IN MY ROMANTASY ERA 🐺
