I don’t do pretty, I do pretty cool and this might be the prettiest of the cool kids. Collaborating with @ihartvirginia on this was a dream. She is the incredibly gifted illustrator who created the most beautiful artwork for this wedding. Meanwhile I re-created shapes inspired by artwork at the @weismanartmuseum for a cool spin on the wavy trend.

You know what makes an event feel luxe?

It’s not just the floral budget or the size of the welcome dinner.

It’s tissue paper.
Branded name tags.
Menus that match the signage.
Workbooks that match the gift bags.
It’s consistency.

At Be Sage, we wanted every guest to feel like every detail had been considered, and that starts with the smallest things. That custom tissue paper moment? A huge crowd favorite. The matching name tags? They pulled everything together and made people feel part of something thoughtfully designed.

Luxe is a feeling, and it’s built detail by detail.
Planning a conference or event of your own? I would love to work with you to create an incredible guest experience.

Every conference has a workbook.
But not every workbook becomes a keepsake.

At Be Sage, the workbook is more than a note-taking space. It’s where your breakthroughs get turned into action.

Each speaker contributes worksheets designed to help attendees actually implement what they’ve learned. And we make sure the design matches the depth.

Design matters. Especially in education.

That’s why this isn’t just a workbook.
It’s the strategy guide for your next chapter.

Planning your own conference or retreat? Let’s design a workbook people actually want to use and keep.

@besagealways isn’t just another conference. It’s a place where business, community, and creativity meet. I’ve had the immense privilege of designing the conference branding for the past 8 years, and every year I walk away reminded of how powerful intentional design can be.

From embossed workbooks to flower crown welcome tags, every branded detail is meant to feel like Be Sage: grounded, smart, beautiful, and full of heart.

That’s the magic of great design paired with great people. And it’s why this will always be one of the most meaningful projects of my life. by @fig2design

Tori & Aquiles’ wedding was a love letter to Virginia in the fall. Equestrian elegance, layered textures, and one very charming bee.

From the moment their invitations hit the mailbox, guests were wrapped in warmth. Plaid patterns, handwritten calligraphy, and vintage stamps set the tone for a weekend that felt equal parts heritage and heart.

We carried their custom monogram through every touchpoint:
From invitation suites to signage
To custom glassware at the horchata bar
Even the napkins had embroidered gold bees (yes, bees!) that tied into the gold accents and velvet textures throughout the day.

And those velvet table numbers? They sat perfectly against burgundy linens and plaid runners. Layered, intentional, and oh-so-inviting.

This wasn’t just stationery.
It was storytelling.
And every guest felt part of it.

f you think stationery is just about the invite… I have some Save the Date posters and scratch-off escort cards I’d love to introduce you to.

Paper is one of the very first things your guests touch.

It’s how you introduce your style, your energy, and your priorities, before a single welcome cocktail is poured.

Some couples go bold from the start, like Adam & Tim, whose oversized Save the Date poster was a great keepsake. We kept the vibe going with pull-tab prize cards at the reception that guests couldn’t stop talking about.

Then there was Read & Jess, whose escort cards doubled as scratch-offs. Because who doesn’t love a little suspense with their seating?

Other suites speak in a quieter voice, like Tori & Aquiles’, which channeled Virginia’s fall charm and equestrian flair with warm tones and beautifully tactile paper.

Because the truth is: Every invitation holds more than information; it holds emotion. And when we design it that way, your guests feel it.

Ready to create a suite that sets the tone and steals the show? Let’s talk.

Let’s talk about the most overlooked piece of wedding stationery…

Table numbers.

Yep. That tiny thing on the table that keeps people from wandering aimlessly with a glass of wine in hand.

Just because they serve one purpose doesn’t mean they can’t do it beautifully.

We’ve done engraved leather, custom cut shapes, wood, acrylic, and even numbers that double as decor. Think of them like the quiet girl in high school who turns out to be iconic.

It’s not about making them huge (please, it’s not a paddle auction), but about making them feel considered, just like every other element of the day.

When your table numbers echo your invitation suite or bring in texture from your menus or signage, it tells your guests:
"Every detail here was designed with intention."

And those little moments of thoughtfulness?
That’s what sticks.
That’s what elevates.
That’s what people remember.

More of this energy, always. by @fig2design
