It’s a privilege to capture the bride and groom’s portrait anytime, but even more special before the cocktail hour even starts so that the couple can then mat and frame it at the venue entrance as a “guestbook”. 🫶🏼 Love it when a bride has thought through even the smallest of details!! And even better when we get to bring their vision to fruition at the stunning historic Whitlock Inn. ✨

Absolutely obsessed with this custom order of favors for a holiday party back in December! This client wanted full-body paintings for all their employees rather than my usual mid-size ones because they were going to be dressed in their holiday best. And the outfits from the photos did not disappoint. 😍 Love trying new things and expanding what I’m able to offer to couple’s going forward!

A night worth celebrating ✨🥂

Still smiling from the launch of Volume 14! It was such a special evening bringing together so many of the incredible local businesses, creatives and friends who make this year’s guide what it is.

A beautiful setting at @lechateauatl, delicious bites from @cparkscateringandevents and the very best company made for the perfect night celebrating The Scout Guide Atlanta. Guests also enjoyed live watercolor paintings by @figandfont, complimentary jewelry cleaning from @luxorfine and treats from @worthpecan 🧡

I painted at three beautiful events this past week. More to come on the first two, but live guest portraits for the @tsgatlanta launch party at @lechateauatl deserve their own moment to shine on my feed. ✨

I’ve been looking forward to painting in this space again for WEEKS. Beauty everywhere I turned; Enveloped in the sounds of a string quartet and guests’ laughter. Such a treat to be a part of the celebration again. Katie, thank you for having us!! 🤍

Being home with just my younger two boys has been a surreal experience.. It’s so reminiscent of 9 years ago when I would spend my days in the yard pushing Henry and Thomas in the swings, but now it’s Billy and Charles that are climbing trees and giggling together. I’m constantly reminded this go-round, to not take the time for granted, that these slow days will eventually come to an end.. Custom house portrait delivery! I’ve been quiet but busy this past month. Loved making time for a thoughtful closing gift before a double-header wedding weekend - I’ll be painting guests at TWO events this holiday weekend. Hey! I’m Jessy, owner and watercolor artist behind this little account, mama to five, USAFA grad / AF vet, Marietta local, food and cooking enthusiast, animal and gardening lover. Basically all things “home”, though I’m not always good at them.. After years of putting myself out there by means of sharing my work and offering my services, it turns out I also love business, and working with clients to create meaningful pieces+experiences, and am REALLY into painting guests at weddings and events. 🍾 Marketing+Social media, not so much… but I try to post here and there so that people know I’m still working away at that next portrait between carpool lines and toddler naps.

Summer has been good to us so far- $1 books at yard sales, flowers picked by my kids serving as a bookmark, picking wild blackberries and making them into pies and icecream, swim meets, fireworks, and lots of downtime.

It’s flying by and I know the pace of life will pick up again sooner than I’d like.. Savoring these slow days!! 🌼 by @figandfont
