Lots of old photo heads walking around Japan. Somehow we ended up at “the World Used Camera Market” at Matsuya Ginza on the last few days before leaving. We didn’t know about it. Originally we were hitting up this used camera store but just walked up to the owners, two small old Japanese ladies, closing up their shop; and telling us that they’ll be vending at the world market for the rest of the weekend. So okay. We got ice cream, checked out the FTC shop, walked around the city and finally headed to the world market a couple days later. Matsuya is this 10-story mega-mall with a pale beige convention hall that felt like it was ripped from a 1990s Holiday Inn, but the rest of the mall was lux like Dior, Yohji Yamamoto, and Comme Des Garçons. It was cool. It was serendipitous of us to catch it. Maybe next year, we end up going again at the same time?! There’s so many facets of Tokyo’s city wards... taken in Ginza Tokyo by @fightingelegy
