It only took Meta crashing yesterday for me to finally have a shot at a @bitter_buff_alo webstore drop! 🤪😂 But all the attention to his wonderful art is well deserved. His portraiture comprises deceptively simple compositions that are rich and emotive with a great range of values. It’s such a treat to gaze at the brushwork and let my eyes linger. 👀💚 Lucky to find this piece at Galleri Ramfjord before Foote really turned up the heat. The piece found a home in our living room at Christmastime, and I’m more than content to keep it there 🥰

Contemplative, fantastical, allegorical, political. I love diving into artwork by @kos1604. This is one of the earliest originals I’ve collected, spirited from the motherland in dark days that linger still. Everything this self-taught artist creates is just a little off in the most delicious ways, just as in this piece of Orientalism. Love the fingerprint flies he painted above the sitter’s/sitters’ head(s)!

What I love most about works by @craww are the pathos, movement, and energy imbued in both flora and fauna, even in this understated, small work. Amazing paintings and drawings💚

First post of the year! Fell in love with this quirky, colorful, and allegorical work by Joey Wong @dpeculiar.artist after stumbling on a post by @beautifulbizarremagazine The painting and I got some strange looks when initially hung in the kitchen, but it quickly became a welcome and familiar presence 🥰👁️☕️👂🥣🦷💚

Love at first sight 😍 @stanley_nabo created a bold, intimate, and meditative piece that invites the lingering gaze. My framer noted there was much positive feedback in his shop about this painting!

The art and world creation by @jasonlimon really transport me, both away and within. Introspective, whimsical, glib, and quirky at small scale like this “Worlds” at 6”x8”, or larger. 🪐💀💚

Young Girl as Harlequin by the UK-based Rosso Emerald Crimson @rossoartist is the most lovely painting to sit with ☺️ Inspired by Picasso’s Paul as Harlequin, the young sitter’s direct gaze and the piece’s high contrast values also remind me of Sargent’s Portrait of a Boy. Framed in a lovely, silvered wood by her partner, Rosso’s work keeps us company in a black-walled office.

Let me try starting this off with a *bang*. Here’s an adorable and intricate piece, Cosmic Cat, by @valeriesavarie 💚🐈‍⬛💚 It may be one of the smaller pieces by the Colorado-based artist, but it is charming as all getout. Valerie has a cute black cat like mine, and I’m delighted to give some of her pieces a loving home ❣️
