Generation Breakers 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾🫶🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽

Twelve nations. One ocean. One purpose.

This emblem carries a small piece of every Polynesian nation Aotearoa, Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, the Cook Islands, Rapa Nui, Niue, Tuvalu, Tokelau, Wallis & Futuna, and the Marquesas. Twelve different island stories, drawn from tapa cloth, tatau, and carving traditions, held together in one ring around a shared sun and ocean.

Why only these twelve?

The Pacific isn’t one culture it’s three: Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia. Each region has its own migration history, language family, and identity, even though they sit close together on a map and share deep connections through trade, intermarriage, and voyaging.

•Polynesia - the many islands within the Polynesian Triangle stretching from Aotearoa to Hawaii to Rapa Nui: the twelve nations in this emblem.

•Melanesia - Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. Fiji in particular shares huge cultural crossover with Tonga and Samoa through centuries of intermarriage and trade, which is why so many people assume it’s Polynesian but by ancestry and language, it sits in Melanesia.

•Micronesia - the small islands, Kiribati, Palau, Guam, and the Marshall Islands.

We’re not drawing lines to leave anyone out the Pacific has always moved as one, we in the pacific will always be family. This emblem is specifically about honouring the Polynesian bloodline accurately, the way our ancestors would have understood it, region by region, island by island.

That’s what Generation Breakers stands on: knowing exactly where you come from, so you know exactly what you’re carrying forward.

FOUR POLYNESIAN MEN. ONE MISSION. 🌺🔥

On September 27th, four Polynesian brothers Myself, Wes, Fili and Yanique are taking on the Deadly Dozen.

But this is about more than a fitness race.

We’re stepping up to bring awareness to the conversations that matter: mental health, physical health, obesity and breaking the cycles that continue to affect so many within our Polynesian communities.

We do this in honour of those who came before us, for those standing beside us today, and for the generations still to come.

Our past. Our present. Our future.

We want to show that change is possible. That taking care of our bodies and minds doesn’t mean leaving our culture behind it means becoming stronger for our families, our communities and our people.

We are proud to represent our Polynesian people, not just here in Aotearoa, but all around the world. 🌍🌺

So we’re asking you to get behind us.

Share this. Tag your people. Spread the message.

And if you believe in what we’re doing and want to support us in any way whether it’s through encouragement, connections, sponsorship or simply sharing our journey we’d be incredibly grateful.

This is bigger than four lads doing a race.

This is for our people.
This is for our health.
This is for our future.

DES 🤝 WES 🤝 FILI 🤝 YANIQUE

🇹🇴 🇼🇸 🇳🇿 🌺

WE RUN FOR MORE.

Week6/20 700kms ✅ chasing a Sub3hr Auckland Marathon

Conquering a mountain, be it a physical challenge or a metaphor for life’s obstacles, requires strength, faith, and reliance on God. Mountains can symbolize the trials we face, and the Bible reminds us of the power of faith in confronting these challenges.
In Matthew 17:20, it is written, “He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. This verse emphasizes the incredible potential of even the smallest amount of faith. It encourages you to believe that through faith in God, you can overcome significant obstacles. by @filidelphia_22
