A situation like this will bring a grown man to his knees, asking himself what the purpose is of everything he does if it can all be so easily taken away from him.

I’ve thought long and hard. If I should even post anything about this. What I would say. I don’t really want to talk about it further or rehash it all with anyone, certainly don’t want to make others sad or throw a pity party, there’s worse things in the world & life is still such an incredible blessing. But, there’s so many of my friends who adored this guy in the short year and a half he was with us, who constantly ask about him. Decided it’s selfish of me not to let everyone know in some way. Candidly, there’s some selfish intentions on my end too, I just can’t keep having people ask me how he’s doing & sending me Weiner dog memes.

Monday morning, September 16, Bean abruptly passed away. Just a short 48 hours prior, he was running around happy as can be. We aren’t sure what happened, started feeling unwell, condition worsened, culminating in an overnight seizure and visit to the ER Sunday night. Monday morning he was gone. Completely devastated. Frozen in time.

Today would have been Bean’s 2nd birthday, I thought it was finally time to break the news. Although it’s a somber day, this post is meant to memorialize him & celebrate how Bean positively impacted anyone who ever came in contact with him. How much joy he’d fill everyone’s soul with just by being around. How much unconditional love he’d give.

I wrote a little letter to him. We will all miss you dearly, Beanie boy.

Bean “Kobe” Matic.

The Duels Team On Film 🎞️

Great achievements are only possible when there’s great people behind it. People who dare to take massive risks, dream big, and do whatever it takes to win. What a blessing it has been to be surrounded by & have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in the world.

There were countless others involved in this project, only 20 slots in the carousel. Love you all & truly humbled to be in your presence.
