Bigger isn’t always better… even if it’s a $2.3 billion screen. 🌐🎥

Experiencing a classic like The Wizard of Oz at the Las Vegas Sphere is undeniably awe-inspiring from a technological standpoint. But when you study the history and technical evolution of early cinema, you have to ask: does all that spectacle actually serve the story?

For me, the massive scale didn't necessarily deepen the emotional impact. Honestly, a solid IMAX screening or even just a large TV at home keeps you much more engaged with the actual narrative without the venue itself becoming a distraction. Spectacle is incredibly fun, but story and framing will always be king. 👑🎬

It isn't just a massive screen; it's the exhilarating feeling of hang gliding over breathtaking landscapes. That exact level of complete, breathless immersion is the gold standard for visual media. In fact, it’s exactly the kind of transportive experience I’m aiming to capture for my upcoming documentary exploring the history and legends of Mount Shasta—making the audience feel like they are quite literally floating over the peak and right into the story. 🏔️🎥
