A few months ago, we flew to Cape Town to shoot and direct the digital campaign for the comeback of Sierra.

The challenge: What can a tiny team of three create within the very limited windows they have with the car? Turns out, quite a lot. These are few of the many films we shot as we saw some of the most beautiful sunrises on set, the most unreal views in the rearview, wild animals casually strolling beside us and the most stunning sunsets (EVER witnessed) calling wrap for the day along with the kindest crew from Cape Town that made this experience an experience of a lifetime.

Some projects don’t feel like work. This was one of them. Made possible by our favs, Team Tata (@minalsaraf @laksh.me96 @ojasbagal) for trusting us and our vision time and again, and Team Powerdrift (@saanand.singh @khosla92) for having our backs through it all and @whataaamelon (biggest support system) who is pretty much one of us 🤭

“Ramdev se zyada jaribooti khaati hai ye bakriyan”

In the autumn of 2018 I met Keshav Ram, a gaddi(shepherd) from Kullu, who had set up his camp near the Sheti glacier in Lahaul Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh(india). He was very kind and offered us tea as we sat down to have a chat. Keshav was fascinated by the city life and displayed a fear of missing out. It was sad to see him romanticise the “convenience” of big cities that in my opinion, comes at the cost of peace of mind. Ironic. taken in Himachal Pradesh by @filmpagloo

I took these photographs in Komic village of the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh(India) in the year 2018. Back then, I didn’t know that my days of being carefree were numbered. After staying in the Trans-Himalayan region for 2 months, the very little burden of life I used to feel started fading away. I thought I was free from my responsibilities to this world and its extensions. But, life caught up to me. Although, born in the mountains, I was brought up to be a city boy and that’s where I now belong. I often fantasise about my time there. “Was it an escape?”, is that why it felt so good? One fine afternoon I found myself daydreaming as I lay in our apple orchards in the countryside of Shimla. I dreamt of a perfect life that ends peacefully in the hills. Life seemed simpler back then but the curse of being a dreamer won’t let you live “simple”. You always end up running behind those dreams. by @filmpagloo
