SANKOFA — PROJECT 01 We began with a question: what happens when we return to where we come from, and reimagine it through a modern lens? This is SANKOFA. A celebration of Ghanaian craftsmanship, culture and contemporary elegance—where tradition is not simply remembered, but reinterpreted. Every detail was intentional. Every texture carried meaning. Every frame became a meeting point between heritage and modernity. What you see is more than a wedding story. It is a visual expression of what happens when Ghanaian creatives come together with one vision. SANKOFA — Project 01. Rooted in where we come from. Created for where we’re going. And this is only the beginning. SANKOFA — Behind the Scenes Before the final frames, there were ideas. Before the beauty, there was intention. Before the story was seen, there was a team that believed in it. SANKOFA began as a return to our roots, reimagined through modern elegance—and this first project was where that vision came to life. From the designers and stylists to the makeup artists, hairstylists, planners, photographers, and every creative behind the scenes, this is a glimpse into the process, the energy, the laughter, the details, and the moments that never make it into the final frame. Because great imagery is never created by one person. It is built through collaboration, culture, craftsmanship, and a shared vision. This is SANKOFA — Project 01. A look behind the work. A look at the people who made it happen. A glimpse into what happens when Ghanaian creativity comes together. We’re only getting started. LOVE, CAPTURED IN MOTION. 🤍 Photo: @oliver.dadson Video @filmsbysmile #explorepage✨ #love #prewedding by @filmsbysmile
Up on the hill, where the wind runs first and the sky feels closer than it should — that’s where they’re building it. Not a wedding. A hearth. Long before any guest arrives, before the cloth of gold catches the evening light, before the drums start — there’s a fire being carried up that hillside. Slow. Deliberate. Carried by two people who survived the seasons other flames don’t. Red Top, Weija — a place high enough that the whole valley will see the glow. They didn’t choose it by accident. Some fires need altitude. Need to burn where the wind can test them and lose. In two days, the climb ends. The flame reaches the top. And on July 21st, up where the sky opens wide over Weija, the world finally watches two flames that survived everything become one fire nobody can put out. 2️⃣days. Red Top, Weija. The fire comes home. 🔥🤎 ➖Production Team🎛️➖ Planner @eventmaniagh Makeup artist @glowwithroses Designer @rivermindstyle Groom fit: @sibcoture Creative Dir: @shotbyaj.gh Photography: @oliver.dadson Videography @filmsbysmile @bellanaijaweddings #wedding #ghanawedding #weddingreception #bridesmaids #bellanaljaweddings by @filmsbysmile
