Designing Sustainably - Gaming speakers

Electronic waste contributes to 70% of toxic chemicals found in Australia.
Repair could save 80% of "broken devices".

Exploring how it could be made easier to repair and modulate gaming speakers without replacing and discarding the whole product and feeding into consumerism, whilst making it overall sustainable.

Beginning by creating parts using engineering drawings before moving to design and create a sailing trophy in Solidworks, using Keyshot for rendering. Finally assembling a plane in Solidworks and rendering in keyshot and photoshop.

For Integrated Product design we were tasked to create a pen holder inspired by an assigned designers design philosphy for which I had Henry Dreyfuss.
This inspired design features rounded corners, taking a multipurpose direction as many of his products tended to target a commercial market, rounded edges and made from Bakelite (a plastic material famous in the 80's).
The Sunbeam Mixmaster research poster shows a timeline of Sunbeam Mixmasters and their evolution in form, function and appearance, particularly after being commercialised in Australia.

Posters made using Adobe Illustrator, photoshop and SolidWorks.
Models made using 600gsm paper and FoamX.
